Okay, so I'm going to begin my question with a brief background. I have a friend that is a girl, and this girl is in a relationship with a boy (boyfriend). After time had passed by ever since I befriended her, I definitely felt a difference in how her boyfriend treats me (He's just an acquaintance of mine). Like things that would make me feel annoyed if they were done by a stranger, and not so much when being done by my friend.

But with that aside, the thing is, whenever I chatted her through the only communication app that I could use to contact her, I feel that our conversations always ended abruptly. I mean, our conversations were always short. But, the conversations mostly ended with her no longer replying to what I last texted to her, even if the conversation could still be carried on a bit longer.

Now my question is, do women who have boyfriends tend to cut their conversations with their guys friends short because of something like they don't want their boyfriends to assume things if they found out about those conversations maybe? Heck, I don't even plan to ever flirt with her nor do I like her. I just feel that it's quite disrespectful to have your conversation cut abruptly like that.

Thank you. :)
Suggestion : ask her about it.

Hey. I understand. Psychology depicts love as a cognitive and social phenomenon that has three different components: intimacy, commitment, and passion.

butyes, i expect these people were waiting 1676 days for your answer, and you are definitly not a baby spam bot
Well, the way I see it... if she has a privacy problem with her boyfriend then she's dating the wrong guy. If a woman came and checked my phone, that would be the end of it (I don't even have a password, I don't have anything to hide in there). Privacy and respect is a must for a healthy relationship. Why are you with someone if you don't trust him/her.

If someone would stop responding to me out of the blue, and the next time we chat doesn't start from that person saying something like "oops, sorry, I forgot..." or something like that, that's someone who doesn't really care about me. Can be a good "pal", but never a FRIEND. That word seems to be underestimated these times. Friend is someone who is in the good ones and the bad ones, and if it so unreliable that even leaves you hanging in a chat, then "ON MY EYES" that person is not a friend.

Of course this is just my two cents, and definitely not how everyone should carry their lives. I can count the number of friends I have with one hand... even though I know lots of people who "I hang out with".

But to get back on your topic... having a relationship is in no way an excuse or "normal behavior" to leave someone hanging on a chat. And I never met anyone who would do such a thing due to being on a relationship (except for people on toxic relationships, but that's another story).

EDIT: Damn... didn't even check the date hahaha... I'll just leave my answer for posterity xD

That said, I appreciate the more recent replies. :)

And the topic was bumped by a reply that says 'I understand' but doesn't show any understanding a the question pertained friendship, the irony.
