Well, I can't say I blame them, the game really did fall flat quickly as there wasn't much to do in it.

That's the impression I got from the reviews. Starts out great and slowly comes to a dead standstill

saluk: Like I alluded to I haven't pushed to GOG so I don't know the process. But I assume that since they still offer the drm builds you would still have to do the old method, in addition to whatever the galaxy method might be.
I was under impression that for galaxy supported titles, where developers utilize api, Gog is responsible for repacking an installer.

Lucian_Galca: Finally, some sort of accountability for not keeping gog versions updated with others.

If you guys at gog want more suggestions for games that should maybe be delisted for the same reasons, check the following...

Punch Club
Nuclear Throne
Luftrausers
Worms WMD
Party Hard
The Ball
Apotheon
Blood & Gold: Caribbean (MIssing DLC updates)
Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak
Dragon's Dogma
Postal: Classic and Uncut
Postal 2 (Missing DLC)
Steamworld Heist
The Bard's Tale (2004)
Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today
Space Rogue (2016)
Chroma Squad
The Way
99 Levels to Hell
Lock's Quest
Blackhole
Surgeon Simulator (Missing content)
Albedo: Eyes From Outer Space
Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition
Sam & Max Save the World
Tales of Monkey Island
Overfall
Escape Goat 2 (Missing Level Editor)
Space Colony HD (Missing features and content)
Perception
Clustertruck (Missing features)
And here I thought I was aware of all the outdated games in my library, turns out a few slipped through. Looks like I got a few devs to email this week.

mike_cesara: Sad to see another game gone but I guess it's a devs choice.. Farewell then ; p
Thanks for the heads up elcook!
How about other Curve Digital games in the catalogue?
dont mix/mistake developers for/with publishers please

curve digital is the publisher, but many games they publish are from different devs than human fall flat.

liquidsnakehpks: Wait what ? Dragon's Dogma is not updated here ? as in ?
avatar
GR00T: I think they're referring to the pawn issue in GOG's version.
believe it or not, capcom took (or slacked) 5 or 6 months to fix a major gamebreaking bug (a "deleting your savegame bug", in fact) introduced by one of the game update (something like the 4 or 5th upgrade after launch)...

that is what made me completly stop playing the game until dark arisen was released (and confirmation that it meant the bug was hopefully fixed by then)

5 or 6 months !

and yet (surprisingly enough) aside from this bug, Dragon's Dogma PC port is still one of the best optimized PC port i have seen from a japanese developper/console game port on PC so far.

But sure, the whole pawn bug is very gamebreaking here, because the pawns and pawn hiring/exchange IS a key mecanism to the game. More than that, playing with default offline premade (and unoptimized/specialized) pawns put you at a huge disadvantage later on in the game (especially NG+ and such)
I, however, think i saw a nexus mod that allowed to create "offline" pawns to populate the offline version of the game... which could be a possible workaround

I have that game and that mod would help and I will put it in a "break in case of emergency" glass door in case I need it.
Thank you.

GR00T: You're not wrong. I payed it without using the share feature and had no issues.
avatar
fortune_p_dawg: not a problem for me really either. didn't even use that feature on the ps3 version.
but pawn sharing is one of the most unique feature of the game :\ when i played the ps3 version i instantly decided this game was worth getting the platinum but it would be a hard grind , so i went online looked at the top pawns and the feature is that if the people with the pawn are in your friends list you can hire them for free. I sent a friends request thinking it might not happen...... Boom request was accepted and the player was so helpful that he took my new pawn and sent it back with some needed equips. i was shocked that the game is still that active on the ps3, they are even still taking down the ur dragon online.

The pawn feature not working makes the game less half unique , since the story also ties to your pawn.

I don't like that list at all. I already own several titles from it, and there are a few more, that I was interested in getting at some point. In fact I was considering getting Dead Synchronicity since it was so cheap... what's the point? I can't even find a changelog.

elcook: Despite their best efforts, the developers behind the game will not be able to maintain update parity between GOG and other platforms.
Sadly, this is the case for many games on GOG and not exclusive to Human Fall Flat. Why are those other games still being sold despite these known issues?

Dragon's Dogma never received the latest two patches available on Steam.
SteamWorld Heist lacks an update that fixed a critical save issue.
Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak lacks a HUGE patch reworking entire gameplay aspects of the game.
And there are a lot more...

And no, I'm not talking about days, I'm talking about months with no hope for any positive changes in the future. People are right if they consider GOG.com an inferior platform for buying their games in this regard. Things really have to change if you want to build up some new trust with users buying their games on here.

You should get it!
It's one of the best adventure games made in recent years.

I'm not sure what the problem with that game is supposed to be though? It ran perfectly for me, so if there are some issues with it, I sure didn't encounter any.
