karnak1: At least the concept of fighting "cosmic horrors" with a wood plank seems fun.
yeah :) wondering if there is an actual fighting mechanic or it's something 'broken'/ unintentional like in Penumbra Overture.

MrWilli: I looked through the thread and did not see Bloodborne.
...If you have a PS4.
Definitely that! One of the best Lovecraftian game I ever played :)

Pffft, my brave BSDM nun in Arkham Horror was defeating cosmic horrors using a cross and a whip, you can't get more stylish than that. Until Hastur ate her. Damn Hastur.

Will we see Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth on GOG? :P
I see that Sunless Sea has already been mentioned. If someone want to check it out I'd like to caution against the use of the wiki. The moment I started to check things out on the wiki, I slowly started to rely on it, at which point the sense of mystery and fear of the unknown waned from the game for me.

Maxvorstadt: I hope that there someday will be a movie or game of "Dream-Quest of unknown Kadath". because it is an epic story!
There is a Dream Quest animated film by Jason B. Thompson - http://www.hellbendermedia.com/Features_Dreamquest.html

Now THIS is lovecraftian imagery done right.

A first, in my opinion.
Etches all these games down on a dark and stormy night in an old tome called "Wishlist"
Tales from Dunwich: Season 1 obviously references HPL. No clue if it's any good, just came across it. Looks a bit bog-standard from the screenshots.
The Consuming Shadow
it is not even referencing but has Lovecraft written all over it.
now on DRM FREE on HumbleBundle, will come to Steam and possibly GOG, too, via this wishlist

Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure

Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure (PC, Mac, Linux) is a comedy point 'n click love letter to classic-era Lucas adventures, HP Lovecraft, Hitchcock and many, many others. A lighthearted spoof of the Cthulhu Mythos, Gibbous will have you controlling 3 protagonists, dealing with strange cultists, ancient voodoo, and Dead Cthulhu himself. Well, "dead" is just a matter of opinion...

They also have a demo available for download.
