It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

gunsynd: And that's locked up by the school. But you may be able to try and add yourself or open
as administrator.
Also think of it this way.If it was possible to copy and paste a game, then there would
be no Pirating.
avatar
alvis100: Assuming you have administrator privileges you can use the installer on any computer you want though can't you? GoG seems to be very lenient in that aspect.

I don't really wanna pirate the game though, hence why I now own 2 separate copies of it that I have never played, and likely never will x_x
Yes,no problem.

Will either of those programs work guaranteed?

It won't work either way. Editing registry needs admin priviliges.

He wouldn't need it on the school PC.Think about it,copy to.

alvis100: So I just downloaded Terarria with the intention of playing it on my school laptop. I know you can't install games without admin privelages, but I'd heard that you could easily move GOG games from one computer to another without complication. I downloaded Terarria on my desktop computer, put it on a flash drive, and then transferred it to my laptop, but I can't get it to start. It doesn't provide an error message or anything, it just gives me the loading cursor for one or two seconds, and then stops.

How can I get Terraria to run on my laptop without reinstalling it?
Maybe this will work:
http://www.terrariaonline.com/threads/released-tma-portable-terraria.75778/
http://tehmodapi.wikia.com/wiki/Portable_Terraria

It's supposed to make Terraria portable.

I'm pretty sure he'd need admin priviliges on his school PC to edit the registry.

Tried it, didn't work. Thanks anyway :)
Doesn't Terraria also require .XNA or something? Does the school computer have said framework, or do you need to install it as well?

Edit: Terraria requires .XNA Framework 4 and .NET 4.x to be installed. Give me 2 minutes to check if the registry entries are required or not.

Edit 2: Registry entries can be safely deleted, game still starts.

Not listed in the system requirements.

alvis100: Not listed in the system requirements.
That doesn't mean it's not needed. See here for example.

Edit: Ask your school IT department if they can install XNA and .NET for you. Both are frameworks needed for a variety of things, so they shouldn't have any reason not to install them.

Oops I replied before your edit. I COULD ask them, but I doubt they would.

I use straight cable and it always works. Nowadays the detection is automatic and we don't even need to worry about crossover cable or not.
