Hey,

I don't know it is common knowledge or not but if you install Terraria via GOG Galaxy; it does not run XNA setup (which is conveniently located under C:\GOG Games\Terraria\__redist\XNA_40 folder. (or whatever your Gog games folder is set via Gog galaxy)

Kindest regards

Thank you. I was wondering, why it won't run. :)
It really should be noted on the GOG Terraria store page that XNA is required.

I did not even know it was provided. It took about 10 minutes of searching for "Terraria won't start" to find out that the Microsoft XNA Framework is required and not installed by default.

Poor oversight of the developer to not put in any checks or notifications about the requirement but even poorer oversight of GOG to not notify users of game requirements.

Thank you. I wouldn't have known why the game wasn't starting without this information.

Very Helpful!!!
Thanks! Terraria was not launching and it was due to this problem installing XNA.
