Need to ask Dirty Harry for a good start, even if he doesn't seem much around anymore.
Formerly Coelacanth has seen a lot too I believe.

I think there are a few in their 60s playing Legends of Grimrock.
26, so no where near the oldest, but as others have said I intend to continue as long as I am physically and mentally capable.

So you're only 4 years older than me?! And I had assumed (judging from your avatar) that you were at least 35-40 years old! There goes that assumption out of the window... :-)
P.s. sorry op, I have no idea about the oldest gogger, but he certainly could be a senior...

28, however I started my journey in 1990, when I was 3, so I'm quite old gamer, yes.
I learned how to read when I was 4 because in my home there was a rule "you don't know how to read, you won't reach San Juan by yourself"

Siegor: Having turned 34 last month I'm glad to see a lot of people over 30 here. One thing I've noticed over the last few years is that I'm not really into long games anymore (took me almost 2 months to finish Pillars of Eternity). 8-12 hours is ideal for me (apart for the ocasional RPG with a good story which may take 20+hours).

eksasol: I have this problem. With work and all the responsibility now it's hard to get into these RPG that have 2 hours long introduction. I just started playing Grandia yesterday while waiting through the storm, and it took until 50minutes before I see the first monster.
Similar thing here, but for me the big time constraints seem to have bumped the strategy games off my playlist. Whether its really true or not, I just always have this feeling that there is this huge "barrier to entry" for strategy games vs RPG/action/adventure, where I feel like I need to sit down with the manual and really learn the game systems as I'm starting out. Where the RPG/adventure games I always feel more like I can jump right in and learn as I go.

I swear years ago I used to play about 50% strategy games and 50% RPG/action/adventure. Now the strategy games get somewhere between 0-10% of my gaming time and my backlog is littered with all these "cool sounding" strategy games that I haven't touched. And I kinda miss them! Damned responsibilities... :P

Oh and 43 here, and glad to hear we have GOGers in their 60s and older. That will be me in 20 years :)
That reminds me. I'm currently playing a lot of Mortal Kombat.

When I was a kid that game was fun, now I'm too damn old to keep up with it. XD
44 here.

Rainwalker207: There are people where I work who say to me: "isn't that for kids?", "Aren't you a little old for that?"
Heh. The only reason my mother in her 70s isn't playing games on her PC is that the copy-protection on her Bust-a-Move 2 (DOS CD) doesn't work on Windows.

The demo worked fine on her XP machine, but the full game's protection didn't.
That was the final straw for me regarding copy protection.
This thread is giving me a vision of The Oldest Gogger as this funny old man with a really long beard living in some far off ruins, like the guy in Logan's Run.
44, soon to be 45, been gaming since I had an old IBM 5150 with dual floppy drives and a monochrome green monitor... you know, I think that hunk of junk might still be in the basement somewhere...
I'm 45, and I started on a TRS-80 Color Computer. Early gaming experiences were mostly text adventures (Pyramid and Bedlam) and Atari 2600 games until we got a Tandy 1000 and I started playing Ultima III.
I'm one of the youngest, if not the actual youngest here, at 18.

tinyE will always be the oldest no matter how old he actually is.

Lol, yeah, little pixel me does look a bit older (and stern...)..
I've always said I'm {insert age} going on 40, so it's not a bad guess :)
low rated
Pfft, I have sperm older than most of you.

I realised I was becoming old when I no longer maintained my game library.

I have hundreds of games, and I would meticulously collect guides, images, tips, covers etc for each one.

Now, I just couldn't be bothered.
46. I keep thinking I'm one of the oldest until I see what a thread like this turns up.
