In my experience they have always been quick, 1 to 2 days in the few times I contacted support.

That's because you're American, and we run the world! MUHAHAHAHA!!!!

Oh shit sorry; I thought I was Ted Nugent for a second.

That said, I have had more than one pending ticket take more than a month to reply or never receive any reply.
Sadly, this appears to become the norm lately, I think they're understaffed.

I had a gifting code issue, and they took a month to reply and only after two additional bumps on my side. Then another two weeks and one more bump before it got resolved.
But Firek is always nice and does apologise for the delays.
and we run the world! MUHAHAHAHA!!!!

I beg to differ,China now leads the world:-)
Oh and be polite.....

You know from what I heard the US is their biggest market, perhaps there is some truth to that statement... I should clarify though that they responded quickly but their "support" advise was very unhelpful in dealing with issues I had with Linux, and when what they said made no difference they quickly offered to give me a refund even though I owned the games for months and have them working fine in Windows. Not the best way to do business. >.>

It's bad when I a Linux newbie was able to eventually solve my issues for the most part with the help of Google, and support didn't have a clue.

Yes. Firek is nice.
I no longer bump them, but when they reply to a new ticket, I sometimes remind them of an old ticket, but only if it's important.

I bump the tickets I want/ need resolved a.s.a.p., but I consider all of them important, at least important enough to have contacted support.
Nevermind.

himiller: I submitted a ticket 5 days ago and received nothing from support. Is this normal? I did receive the auto-response email saying that GOG has received my ticket, but then nothing more. I liked GOG and haven't had to submit a ticket before, but 5 days without even a word really makes me feel unsatisfied. I know there's famous Steam support takes up to a month to copy & past a random paragraph of text, and I don't think there could be any other support worse than that on earth, but this smells like some kind of the second worst.

I don't think typing a few words saying that you need to delay a response if you really need more time to answer my ticket is so hard or costs you too much. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but I can't seem to find a better place to ask when the ticket system does not work for me. Sorry if this is the wrong place. I just would like to know if this a normal issue with GOG support.

Thanks.

Ganni1987: You could just ask directly here on the forums, if it's not an issue for you.

As for your question, I never contacted support that required much answering back. Just be a little more patient, Weekend just ended and they will reply eventually.
The question I asked was related to the recent change of the GOG subdomains. All of the static*.gog.com subdomains do not correctly resolve in China and cause accessibility problems of the website. These subdomains are resolved to an inaccessible Vietnam IP and I don't believe that IP belongs to GOG. I have tested most DNSes in China and have found that these subdomains have the same results with most DNSes, the only way I can correctly visit this website is to use a proxy since two or three months ago. So I was asking if using a proxy to visit and purchase games from GOG is allowed if I had to use it to complete the purchase process.
