Tarm: My favourites multiply in endless numbers.
Seriously I have way too many favourited threads just for this reason. My bad memory and the crappy search function makes my favourites have a constant baby boom.
It really is a shame that we still don't have a better way of find old discussions other than ballooning the favorites or pressing the 'show more' button next to 'Topics I've participated in' a couple dozen times. The 'My posts' feature needs a complete overhaul.
Well, I never forget anything :P I remember discussing coffee with you, Matewis. Did you learn to like black coffee yet?

I actually sort of remember that :) And no I haven't :P Tell you what, I'm going to make myself a cup with no milk and try again right now

edit: that's not water, though I kind of wish that it was :P

I do remember most of my discussions on GOG, I also seem to always remember little things about any situation or person I meet, be it in a forum or in real life.
not really.... as others I remember avatars. Curse the people who change avatars and make me think I like them when I really don't.

edit - and double curses on people who use same avatars and make me believe I am talking to a different person.

awalterj: "... and produced two human children."
Lol, perhaps in a thousand years that will no longer be a redundant disclaimer, but not yet (not to my knowledge at least)
You're an artist? Mind linking or PM-ing me some of your stuff?
I'm pretty good at remembering who's who, usernames and avatars but like others avatars tend to be my main form of recognition so when someone changes theres it might take me a while to realise it's not someone new.

AnimalMother117: I renumber quite a few of you guys by name, generally if I don't like someone I remember them mostly by avatar. Generally if someone goes a reply or two with me I'll remember them. Albeit, I don't post as often as I used to, but if I'm just reading posts on a discussion I do not want to join I can recognize people there as well.
I do the same. A combination of names and avatar image. And I get slightly confused if avatar images get changed or users have very similar names.
avatar
rtcvb32: You probably would be better if you attach memories to images. Which i think is why avatars help so much where mentally you say 'oh yeah, Nyan Cat said this!' type of thing. Images are easier to remember than a collection of letters or names.
Especially in your case rtcvb32 ;) At least 32 is an easy-ish number to remember. Most of us I'm sure had 32 MB of ram at one point. Don't think I did though. I skipped from 16 to 64, buy I did once borrow 32 from a friend to add to my 16 so that I could play Unreal on a higher resolution.

WBGhiro: You slipped up now, E.T. we're onto you.
avatar
awalterj: I'm a mix between Wall-E and E.T.

WallET -> Walter codename
That's a positive for a artist. :)

zeogold: I make it easy for people:
I call myself the Puzzlemaster and constantly sling puzzles at whomever is unlucky enough to get close.
If nothing else, I'd be remembered as "That Puzzle-Obsessed ******* Who Never Shuts Up"
You always makes me think about MotorMouth in The Goonies.

avatar
Gnostic: I remember you from the Dawn of War thread.
avatar
Matewis: Oh yes, a dawn of war thread is probably the quickest way to grab my complete and undivided attention :P
Incidentally, that's how I remember Tarm: avatar always reminds me of the Dark Angels Chapter Icon, my favorite 40K faction after the Imperial Fists and Salamanders.
That's funny because I think I have a old Dark Angels army lying about somewhere. I haven't played with it since the 90's. :S

Wow that's quite the coincidence. I have an old Ultramarines Assault on Black Reach starter pack lying around somewhere, from back when I almost got into 40k tabletop.

Matewis: Especially in your case rtcvb32 ;)
You know, i probably wouldn't mind if you called me Fidget from time to time based on the profile image... :P

Back then I chose between a couple armies to paint, mainly Dark Angels and Ultramarines because they are so easy to paint. Dark Angels won because they had a more mysterious background and I wanted the option of going almost all vehicle later.
Second Edition and Dark Millennium I think it was that I played.

I'll make a note of it :)
Fortunately for me I don't know much of anything about Pokemon. I say 'fortunately' because it seems like the type of game that could easily turn into an awesome, albeit monolithic time-sink :P

Ah yes, the fabled Ravenwing 2nd Company of the Dark Angels. I remember reading about them in White Dwarf.

Strange then that you didn't really get into DoW. Are there any other 40K video games that you could get into?
I can completely understand a tabletop player finding little to enjoy in DoW though. Back when I saw 40K tabletop wargaming in action for the first time my immediate reaction was "This is so much cooler than Dow!"

I don't like clickfest rush RTS games. The W40K setting made me tolerate Dawn of War but not much more. Dawn of war 2 on the other hand I find quite fun. I'm not very good at it but I like to play it anyway. :)
Oh and Last Stand is ridiculously fun with friends. :D

I love the W40K setting so much that I can get into almost any game with it to various degrees. I tire quicker of them is about all so some I play more seldom and not that long.
Favourites are:
Final Liberation: Warhammer Epic 40,000
Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate
Dawn of War 2 (Mainly the version with the most armies for variation.)

Might be others I forgot.

Yeah the tabletop is a whole other beast than the computer games.
