Some of you might remember gog putting up a pre-order for a little game called Hello Neighbor. Now, this title is published by tinyBuild, and they're generally not in the business of keeping their gog customers up-to-date with either their builds or their news. So it comes as no surprise that no one has mentioned that there is a modding contest for Hello Neighbor going on right now.

A modding contest for a game that won't be released for at least another two months, imagine that!

Now, I know what you think: Mods? For a recent-ish game? That's gotta be tied to Steam Workshop! Well, here's where the Good News(TM) come in! No, I mean ACTUAL good news! Apparently, they partnered up with good old moddb for this contest. Which means that goglodytes won't be excluded from this contest! Is this better than Christmas, or what?!

So, check it out and hopefully, one of you guys will be able to cobble together something that is, unlike the previously released beta builds of Hello Neighbor, actually worth playing! :)
Yes, I had seen this on moddb. Several problems with it really:
First tinybuild are a known bad dev:

Secondly the game looks far from interesting.
Thirdly if you read the small print the game bundle they offer is redeemable only on steam.

Why not? Telltale have been modding the same game over and over again for years now.

It's here as well:

I thought pre-alpha = proof on concept, demonstrating what kind of game they are going to make. Something to show the moneybags. Like the demo for the System Shock remake.

And the sad thing is: The free pre-alpha is hands down the best build of the game so far.
