Ghorin: So, we're nearing an anniversary of the 10th anniversary where they, uh, improved the store pages and still every sale thread since looks similar. Oh well, it's just gog I guess :)

Anyway, for those who want more sorting/filtering options and don't mind using user scripts, I've uploaded my script for store browsing (that I created back during last winter sale) to github.

This script adds a third, 'datagrid' view to the store page, where a single grid is used to display the whole catalogue (see screenshots). This way, all sorting/filtering is done in the browser, which is much more comfortable for the end user, although maybe not for gog servers. The whole data download is about 2.5MB in size though, so shouldn't be that big of a deal.

More details are available at the github page.

Note: I've only tested this in recent GreaseMonkey/Firefox@Mint and TamperMonkey/Chrome@Win10 combinations. No idea if the script will work in other versions/script injectors/OSes.
Steam might be iew and bad and whatever .... but i can still find things in no time :D ( browser)
DLC shows a purple "ribbon" on the image this easily distinct DLC and other content from the main game, filter on >5 , and >10 ( under 5 and under 10) work like a charm

Anyway, joined in 2014 and sofar i can still find games very easy and very quickly.
And the best part is the hide game option :D something we could really use here on GOG aswell, this would save me hours of browsing and searching to see what game(s) or DLC might be of interest to me... game that dont fit me i simply hide on Steam, at GOG i have to manually browse all games

Wottie: If it's thanks to killing the fair price package, I might be willing to forgive them now - even though now we obviously have unfair price packages. :)
Unfortunately with Cyberpunk GOG and CDPR itself meanwhile have gotten one of the worst offenders regarding regional pricing.

GameRager: That reminds me of the film Moscow on the Hudson(a performer uses a trip to the US with others to seek asylum in the US...great film)....and especially the scene where Robin Williams goes to the food store and sees all the selections.

OP-2019: Thanks for the suggestion, will try to find the DVD in local library :)
This is the movie, right?

Yes, Robin Williams plays a good part in that film.....very funny yet very touching as well.

As long as you want to persist in putting sales into page after page after page instead of a proper sale list I wont be buying during those sales.

This is the second sale like this and its simply too much work involved to see what you have for sale.

You put your weekly, midweek, and weekend sales in a perfect format, Why is it so hrd to do the same for your large sales?

Please fix it so I can keep giving GOG my money, cause I am not running through 8+ pages of thumbnails.

faroot: But as long as you're making suggestions, which browsers currently work 100% with the gog store and which ones don't?
avatar
Cymepa: I have been using Google Chrome for many months, in order to browse, buy and download off-line game installers from GOG, with no problems whatsoever.

Hope this helps.
Yes, thanks! Reports of things working are indeed useful.

Great film.

I recall it as being a fairly serious movie overall, not a comedy like some might expect from seeing Robin Williams' name, so it's important to not expect it to be a laugh-per-minute comedy.

To me this is a tad overkill...just my two cents. I can see why it is frustrating and you'd do such, but boycotting won;t solve the problem and you'd need many more onboard making a stink to get things done.

The comedy mixed, what little there is, helps compliment the serious parts and message of the film....to me it's one of his best works.

Cavalary: Might have spotted a few things that fell through the cracks over time? Sorry if they were intentional and I missed the reason, my bad then...
Noticed you put end date for Dungeon Keeper and Dungeon Keeper 2 sales in 2029, apparently since a sale back in February, so they've been listed as currently on sale ever since? And Regalia: Royal Edition and Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove have end dates in 2099 (only for current sale in case of SK:TT, since it wasn't also best).
Oh, and if you added Divine Divinity as having been free when it was given to those spending $5 in a sale, Sunless Sea should be listed as the same, right? (Though I'd argue that neither was actually free.)
All 4 of those promo are currently still active. You can check by clicking the spreadsheet links...

I'll look into the Divine Divinity situation. I recall some of the older sales you could earn "credit" by clicking something daily where the purchase requirement of $5 wasn't actually necessary and other rewards were really $5 less.

Edit: I went with Divine Divinity not being actually free.

Turmoil - The Heat Is On DLC is on sale while the base game isn't .

Also let me complain : This isn't a great sale . Good but not great .

Oh, I just looked at whether they're actually on sale, individually, didn't think of "hidden" ways like that. Sorry.

Thank you so much Ghorin!
The script works perfectly on Win 10 + TamperMonkey + Firefox Quantum 68.0.2 (64-bit).

Now it should be added to the ABOUT tab like Adalia's and Barfoot's work.
Thanks again.
Love that image for the sale!

Finally! They're gone!

Well, since the script only loads in the store page (and not other pages on the site), I don't think that would be of much use.

I'd need more information; which browser/plugin do you use, and possible if there's any errors in the browser console.
