Does the Microsoft Xbox store count as a shady key reseller? :) That's the only place I recently bought a Ubisoft game.

It shouldn't. From the 3 linked threads, CD-Keys bought from kinguin and cj's cd keys have been removed from the players' UPlay libraries without prior notice. Some believe that it's due to the keys being from different region than the one they were activated, others do offer the possibility that the keys were stolen (though no clue how that would be).

I would be curious to see if someone who bought a retail disk from Amazon (or similar) also had his key revoked.

Well as someone who buys all his Ubisoft games from GamersGate and gets US copies as a result, I can assure you, this is not the case. Otherwise, I'd have encountered this by now with Japan being treated as its own region for specific games. Such as with Unity, which I had to activate via a VPN.

But they never mentioned when they bought it. Chances are Ubi haven't gotten around to that key yet. I know a friend who was complaining about losing a Ubisoft game bought from them last year. So this revoking of keys isn't even a new thing.

What a bullshit . G2A as a legit reseller ? It's a marketplace , not an online store . click on the blue arrow and see where those keys are come from
