fronzelneekburm: What are the publishers going to to? Pull out of GOG over a shitty Postal clone? So everyone can point their fingers and brand them as enemies of free speech? I don't think they'd risk that.
avatar
Fenixp: a) That's why you rarely get an official reason as to why has a publisher left.
b) You'll never even hear about those who just won't sign a contract.
Which is good, because retards like you can speculate and make shit up. xD

CthuluIsSpy: Hatred does not have animal nor child abuse, according to the devs.
Didn't Jackie Postaldude wannabe guy just murder a kid by shooting him in the fucking mouth in the trailer?

*sigh*, do I absolutely have to put an "I think" in front of all of my posts to make it clear that that's what I think as opposed to hard facts? One would say you'd have sufficient mental capacity to figure it out all by yourself. You might also note that I'm neither against nor in favour of releasing Hatered - just trying to see an issue from more than one angle. Might try it yourself, it's cool ;-)

They might pull out to avoid the wrath of SJWs but if they pull out, they will have to face the wrath of gamers who believe in free speech. So basically, no matter the choice they make, they will have to face the wrath of people they pissed off but that's life. You can't please everyone. So the best thing to do is to always choose the right path. And that is the path that supports free speech.

Really edgy how you misspell the game, too. You could be an activist or something.

Heh, grammar? Is that really all you've got now? I came to expect far better levels of trolling out of you. Oh well.

Yes, accusing people of trolling really heightens your cred every single time. Dishonest shills like you will always be around, so might as well learn to love ya. Like a sick dog.

That's more like it, well done!
If people still have the need to continue with the Gamergate nonsense, I wish it would be at least kept in a single thread instead of spreading the stupidity in all over the forums.

This isn't gamergate nonsense, this is entirely different nonsense. A bunch of people got angry that some devs are making a game like Postal, because it's supposed to be immoral and whatnot, without actually waiting for the game to come out or being able to get any objective info on it.

This particular nonsense does have 3 separate threads tho.

fronzelneekburm: Looks like this pitiful, blatantly obvious attempt at generating sales by means of a bit of controversy has been pulled from Steam.
I like to think that there's a chance that they really just wanted to make a game of this kind because that's what they felt like doing. That the game sparked this kind of controversy doesn't man that this exact controversy is exactly what they were going for. And there's always a chance that there are some veterans from the Polish game industry working on this game who will create some really good and solid gameplay (I haven't done a background check on them yet but many smaller Polish studios include people who have worked on some of the biggest Polish games). Unlike you I also read a longer preview in a Polish mag. I don't remember all the details (and of course they didn't reveal too much at this point) but I remember having a much better opinion on the project and developers afterwards. My impression was certainly that they aren't just going for ultra violence for controversy's sake but that there are probably some sophisticated ideas buried beneath the game's nasty surface.

You can't possibly know if it's shitty.

XYCat: So what's new with the nazi game? :D
"Jaroslaw Zielinski, the CEO of Destructive Creations and animator for the upcoming game Hatred, tells Polygon that his company is absolutely not linked with Polish neo-Nazi groups. Such assertions, Zielinski says, are "fucking ridiculous."

"Zielinski has liked the group on Facebook, but says that is in no way an endorsement of their activities."

"As for me supposedly 'supporting' Polska Liga Obrony on Facebook," Zielinski wrote Polygon in a Facebook conversation today, "I've liked this page, because it's source of an information what is going on right now in the middle-east and Europe (and a lot of evil shit is going on — those are REAL problems, not our game). Some things media would not show, nor tell. So: no, I'm not any kind of 'supporter."

"I don't watch TV, I don't have time to follow all the news. If there's some evil shit is going on in Europe or Middle East, I get the message on my wall. That's simply the only reason I've 'liked' this page. And I don't see how giving a 'like' is threaten as supporting something. (sic)"

"Zielinski says that he is not personally affiliated with Polska Liga Obrony. "They don't even know I exist," he wrote, adding that as far as he was aware before last week the Polish Defense League was just a Facebook page and not an actual organization."

Don't worry there is enough nonsense to go around. I find that the people most critical of Hatred are the ones who played Postal back in the day and thought it was "edgy". It's just a bit juvenile for my tastes but hey to each his own and if you want to play it I will not stop you. After all no real life humans or animals are being hurt so I see no real problem.
