I've beaten it multiple times and will probably beat it many more times in the future. For me L.A. is (in spite of the cool characters and quests) the least interesting hub, due mostly to the constant back and for backtracking. I love me some Santa Monica and Chinatown though. Hollywood is decent enough too as far as I'm concerned.

If it's Lord_Britania's first playthrough, don't you think his lordship should just stick to the Basic version of the Unofficial Patch?

Just recently, twice in a row. I believe one of my minor complaints on the first playthrough was that it's too easy. Then I played it again with a melee build and it was even easier. Whereas combat-heavy situations were a bit of a pain for my Tremere, the Gangrel could just stand there and soak damage all day.

What's with people getting lost in Hollywood? It's literally just one street, there's zero opportunity to become disoriented like in the first two sections. Go see Isaac, follow the clues to advance the main story. Anything else is recommended, but optional. Except the zombie killing. That I wouldn't try to do as a non-melee build. Well, not again. The first twenty times was enough.
Yeah, I've beaten it about 3 times that I recall. Such a good game even in spite of its bugs.

deathknight1728: I usually just stop playing once I reach 3rd town. I like to start over with another race. Must have gotten up to 3rd town two dozen times.

JudasIscariot: I've beaten it :) The last parts are a definite stretch but I beat it :D
Bloodlines coming to gog confirmed!

Just kidding.

Why would I not have beaten one of the best (maybe the best) vampire games ever made?

I Always do that part with a shotgun. Never had much issue with it... Playing on normal difficulty. Why is everybody having issues there?

markrichardb: Once. It was a Friday.

CarrionCrow: But thankfully, they do provide an option of getting the local groundskeeper/zombie murderer a prostitute so he doesn't have to leave.

markrichardb: Or if you're playing a female character with high attractiveness... giggity.
That's interesting. Maybe the zombie killer didn't like that my female was a Malkavian. Can't exactly remember.
I do remember him saying something about not being into dead girls, though.

Remarkably enough, I never saw an inability to go that route with a less combat-oriented character to be a big thing, since they provide other options.
At some point, I'll eventually make a Brujah or Gangrel that's all combat all day, and that should do the trick.

I beat it four times actually, never really got stuck / lost motivation at any point (which is uncommon for me in case of a game this large).

Once.... and with no cheating to answer your question completely. Loved this game but can't see any real replay attraction.
Aw man, how time flies! I remember it like it was only two weeks ago, when you asked Has anyone actually beaten a true rpg?, in order to tell us which rpgs you didn't finish and which ones you didn't even start, and you mentioned how you got stuck in VTM: Bloodlines in town 3, and several posters mentioned that they did indeed beat that game. But memory is tricky thing ... Um, what was your question again? :P

That's interesting. Bloodlines is one of very few games that I see as being worth playing at least three times fully - once as a Nosferatu, once as a Malkavian, and once as one of the non-monstrous, non-insane clans.
Nearly 20 times, all the way from 2008 up to now (i got it late and i abandoned it because of vanilla version gamestopping bug).

It is a great game. Very interesting. But somehow, i couldn't convince myself to play a ventrue. I hate this stereotype of a mindset, even in real life, it is my sworn enemy. Also, i could never convince myself to play a Toreador, even though is said to be best gunman in-game; i like beauty, elegance and compassion, but only on women. I prefer my badass protagonist full of teeth and claws, or even worse/better, dark powers. And loathed by other beings around.

Malkavian is epic. Tremere is great. Nosferatu challenging. Brujah and Gangrel not so very interesting, but Gangrel is CERTAINLY more appealing.

I am waiting for the finishing of Antitribu mod, the sabbat storyline and ending must be a real treat!

Not my style. I go with a faction because it's the closest to my core belief (In the game circumstances that is...). I'll never turn against this faction. Have never done it in any game. I can't enjoy being a turncoat just for the sake of replay. I play it the way I see it and the it's just done.

That's a bit my problem. I would love to replay this game and try a whole other path, but I'm scared of ending up making the same choices for the same reasons.

I'll have to find a rationale to avoid this, and I hope it won't be too far from my reflexes to feel uncomfortably artificial. I do kinda manage it, though, when I play full Sith in the Kotor games. Somehow, doping the absolute opposite of my first choices seem easier than just taking a vaguely different route.
