Are you hyped for this remaster, guys? I personally wait for a custom RP servers so we can have fun in the online mode once again which surely should be AWESOME!

Doesn't release on GoG, so no, no hype here on my end.
I never really liked GTA, I was more a fan of Total Overdose and Saints Row.

Cheap cash grab for old outdated formulaic games.
Played a lot of San Andreas Online, but it was only fun because of the company, you could've swapped the game out at any moment and I wouldn't have realized it. :P
I have the originals. Not really hyped for a minor facelift of old games. Give me a true remaster with higher quality models/textures and some real QOL fixes. Or remake the games in a newer engine with more power and modability. Don't just re-release the game with a price hike and some slightly altered textures with a widescreen mod implemented and ask me to pay for it.

Well it is definitely true but I think with this new engine mods will be even better, that's why yes it's a bit lazy work but in the long term community will do all the job done.

Eh. No. GTA2 had the best style, distinctive retro-futuristic atmosphere and fun missions and then they had to ruin it to going down generic realistic-like thug road.

But you do you, go on, be happy, far be it from me to rain on your parade.

For me Vice city was great as i loved the 80s vibe but was not keen on the rest except GTA 1 & 2.
I wanted to buy it for the Switch, but those greedy bastards from Take Two decided not to invest into a bigger cartridge that fits all the data. Buyers of the retail version are now forced to a additional download. That's unacceptable to me.

Agreed. 2 was by far the most fun.
Apparently they also removed a quite extensive selection of licensed songs and music (+40 individual pieces) due to the expiration of said licenses.
If that's bothering you (definitely would bother me if I was into GTA) you might want to stick with the physical original releases as well.

It's not even funny to talk about GTA 2 seriously LUL. It became notorius because of 3D games, not because of second part (which were good but nothing too special)

LOL, this is actually huge. Have not seen that. Well, only mods then will change it but it really cringes on me at this point...

Not to mention the potential censorship (like the confederate flag) and the characters looking like someone swallowed a Sims character, regurgitated it 3 hours later and called it a day.
From what I've see so far this is a terrible version of the games, little more then the PS2 games with modern textures and a lot of contented missing. There has been no changes made to the combat system, some people thought they may add modern lock on cover or ducking but no. There is no in mission check points just instant restart from the very beginning , so a bit of an upgrade but all the janckiness of the old missions remain. Most of the new textures and models have been taken direct form GTA V but that didn't surprise me much but the new characters models they bigged up vary greatly. Some seem to have been completely redone (like Claude) but most were apparently just run though an automated upscale software and then had a bit of polish by hand. San Andreas look noticeably worse then the other two, likely it was rushed to meet deadlines.
