OldFatGuy: Wow, that thing is awesome. I want one with a little bigger screen (7 inches available instead of 5.5???). No I'm not actually buying one.... (unless maybe there was one at 7 inches) but man I do want one. LOL

My mother has never driven in her life. Ever. So one of my "jobs" is to be her driver... which means lots and lots of hours spend sitting in a car parking lot. Man it would be awesome to be able to game during those lost hours. I used to carry a laptop but it was just too big and cumbersome sitting in the front seat (with the steering wheel there) and then a few years ago I bought a table (android) and that was.... meh. To be able to actually play GoG or Steam games in the front seat during those wasted hours would be so awesome for me. But 5.5 inch screen is too small for me. LOL

paladin181: My tablet can emulate up to a PS1 exceptionally well, and with a Moga Power Hero pocket controller, I have a portable gaming system with PS1, N64, SNES, NES, SMS, SMD, PSX GBC, GBA, and NDS games available to me. The Tablet was $200 (no longer available NVidia Shield Tablet) the controller was $30. The SD card to hold all that delicious retro gaming was $25.
My phone, Redmi note 5.5 inch serves similar purpose as your tablet. Combined with ipega 9023 controller. I mainly use it for psp via PPSSPP emulator. It's good for before bed gaming session
I was thinking about getting one of these for playing emulators like sega genesis, snes, gba

Tempted so much...
Like Linus said, it's totally your preference/choice, to me it would be like a silverback gorilla trying to use an iphone, I personally can't stand how small those are, my finger usualy hits 3-4 buttons at the same time, that and I'm an old Fart so my eyesight is less then perfect, the screen would be just to small for constant use, for me. But I can see where someone would drool over a handheld that can "play games" and function as a PC.

That's what windows 8/10 tablets do.

really? have you tried playing say Skyrim or witcher on a tablet that has limited storage?
There are some more images and specs leaks about the new version:

And here is a video with some comments:

It has a 10 000 mAh battery ! That is significantly more than my mom's full sized laptop. It has 128 GB of storage and should have 8 GB of RAM.

I'm genuinly surprised that they're capable of putting all this stuff in case of the similar size as first GPD Win. To be honest, I feel a bit sceptical about it, but maybe I underestimate GPD team. Have hope that this time they will solve the issue with heating.

I'm wondering though about potential price...

With the first one the fan was very far away from the processor and wasn't doing much, there weren't even heat pipes, you can check out the teardown videos on YouTube and see how poor design it was. In this version the fan in properly positioned, right on the processor and should be much better.
There is also GPD Pocket: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=as_pm43IjJQ

Didn't know that, to be honest. That's a great news indeed, another argument for GPD 2.

I'm only sad because d-pad is no longer situated at the edge of the bottom side, I prefer it much more in the place where it is in "first" GPD.
The new version is moving forward faster than I expected. Prototype versions are already in the hands of some people, with others claiming they will get theirs in the next one or two weeks. The company is supposed to launch an Indiegogo campaign already next month !

Here is someone playing the PC version of Bayonetta on it:
