AstralWanderer: Check the Extended XP :Lets patch XP for newer apps thread to get that function added. This does involve a system-wide change so I'd recommend a full system backup beforehand.
Ok but i don't think i wanna try this. Reason is this is a legit windows installation i got with this pc but i don't have the original windows xp sp3 cd anymore. All other data i frequently back up

Then what you can try instead is to use UniExtract 2 to access the individual files in the ExtendedXP installer and copy its version of kernel32.dll to your game's installation folder (and other dll's where necessary).

You may find CFF Explorer useful at this point since it will allow you to check DLL imports.

I just tried Zwei the arges adventure and it had galaxy dll, though i managed to solve it by using the GOGGalaxy1.2.31.8WinXPPatch-intothebreach and add bcrypt.dll and kernel35.dll and renamed all the kernels from 32 to 35. Each file that was usable with HxD and it works. Maybe i only needed to do that in galaxy dll but i don't know it works now.

The first error was something about bcrypt.dll then QueryFullProcessImageNameA
