Ummm, are the dollars shown in your bank transaction Canadian dollars? Because if that's the case, then 17.97 Canadian dollars equal to a bit over 14 American Dollars.

That's because the exchange rate sucks arse right now, CAD is on the downslide at the moment. That sucks for Canadians as a whole, although most of my money is USD so it actually benefits me. Mind you, I pay my bills out of CAD that is converted to USD so I do feel it too. What would be nice is if there were Canadian credit cards that are USD based from a Canadian institution. Hrmph

I been getting charges like this even before our dollar started to suck cause of the low FN prices of car gas

all I want is the ( OPTION ) to use CAD on this site so I don't have to have the bank convert the price of everything I get

trust me man that is not all they take out most the time it's even more then the conversion rate due to an extra charge for doing conversion we have to pay.

and see the 5 dollar game? that was a 1.49 dollar game lol believe it or not

Hrm, in the past it wasn't bad. I'll have to check my next bill and see what the final price was on my Insomnia buys. If it is $5 for a $2 game, then I can say for sure I wont be buying any more games (anywhere for that matter) at least as long as such a crazy thing was happening anyway. :)

Update: Called my credit card company, GOG purchases come through with the CAD<->USD exchange rate of GOG's bank plus 2.5% conversion fee of my card, no extra fees.

That will vary for other people likely depending on their card company/bank/whatever, and she also said that it will vary from retailer to retailer as well.

welp, i hate to break it to you but the problem is back. i tried purchasing from here with a gift card through paypal and i'm getting the exact same problem. so if the gog support team is willing to read this post again, i'd be happy to receive support regarding the return of this issue

I just got the loop too with what would have been my first purchase from gog. I am getting to the paypal page though, typing in my information, getting paypal's processing circle loop and then back to the gog wallet payment page with no error or notice. Nothing showing up on my bank's end either.

Using Firefox 50.1.0, a BB&T gift card that has been registered for online purchases, and coming in from an IP address starting with 172.72.*.* if anyone feels like checking logs.

edit: Can't use the gift card since it's US bound which was why I was trying it via Paypal.
