How many GOGlins does it take to plant a parsnip?

Working as a group is usually about efficiency, coordination, and emergent camaraderie. But mostly it's about silly, anarchic fun! And that's exactly what Twitch Plays is: a hilarious collective effort to play a game using the input of everyone who participates. You can either contribute by issuing simple commands in the chat or just sit back and watch the madness unfold.

Join us today for the first spectacular GOG Plays event on <span class="bold">Twitch.tv/GOGcom</span> and help us achieve greatness in Stardew Valley. The objective? To plant a Parsnip!
Then stay tuned for the announcement of our second event, where we will be trying to acquire a specific kind of balloon in Grim Fandango Remastered.

For every challenge we complete everyone will get 300 XP, regardless of whether they participated or not. An 100 XP boost will be handed out as consolation prize should we fail our objective. But that's not gonna happen. Right?

The Stardew Valley event begins Thursday, June 9, at 4:00 PM UTC and will last for six hours. Bring your gardening tools.

We did a few more "quests".
It was pure luck, if you ask me xD

It's a great game.
If you played Harvest Moon before, you'll know what to expect.
Not everyone's cup of tea, but a very well made game.
It's hard to believe only 1 person created this.

It went so well I had to quickly make up new goals and do more overlays for the stream during Twitch Plays, we've never thought you guys would do it so quickly :)

Parsnip was planted in exactly 42 minutes (we planned 6 hours for this!).

Other goals achieved:
- get a fishing rod (required chat to coordinate walking through the bridge, also had to appear on beach during daylight)
- chop down a tree (easiest goal, took just 10 minutes!)
- enter the mines (took a long time!)
- talk to Leah (the hardest one, but Pyrofox coordinated people to go to tavern on Sunday, which worked perfectly)
- enter the Wizard Tower (I forgot you had to go to community center first to unlock it - chat did both!)

They didn't manage to enter the museum and get to the last goal, which was harvesting one wild plant - but it was FAR more than we thought chat is capable of :) You're awesome!

This was all types of awesome, we should do this more often even without tempting rewards as part of a specials event.
Maybe even release the bots on the extras for games they get used for; pretty sure they are just a chat parser with a key clicker linked through a database.

I mean Galaxy may as well be counted as a bit of a fail with most multiplay never having anyone online (Grim Dawn & SOASE Rebellion) and no real unified events to get people into them; but a drop in drop out chaos fest.... well Realm Of The Mad God still has a massive continual user level (http://www.realmofthemadgod.com/)

The museum was evil because you can't ever make it in time there. It's about as far as the wizard and we managed to arrive there at 11pm in-game. Even if you managed to get to the museum, getting inside before 6pm was just impossible.

I'm still salty, it said VISIT the museum, that does not imply entering the building, plus its called the Archaeology Office! Goal unreachable, I want a refund! :P
