Lifthrasil: Every day a bit better. Thank you. But still a long shot from how fit I was before. I'll spend the next weeks in cardio rehab to train my heart, so that I won't be that exhausted from minor activity anymore. Hopefully.
waa. sounds like you're doing it right! keep improving we want you well :)
Glad to hear you are doing better, Lift! Hope and pray you continue to improve.

It was suggested (not trying to be rude but I have a rotten memory for who said what) that I could have fake claimed a backup role. Sadly I wasnt (usually am not) able to be that devious in order to think up Master scum plans. (I tend to accept what my friends here say at face value and have a rotten time seeing thru lies)
Even Dedo said I messed up my claim badly. How exactly did I need up and what could I have improved?

I almost claimed id watched Joe get visited by Vitek. I panicked and ignored that breadcrumb. I felt trapped by the "how many times were you pmd" question (very good, btw), and felt I couldn't answer without incriminating myself.

Btw, if I had had a n1 role and had forgotten it, I'd have felt it was wasted.

And Joe, I felt you were scum, and was trying to signal you to back off my wagon lol.

That way my comment, but I'm about to watch a movie with family so not able to go looking for it at the moment.

If I were you I would have breadcrumbed that safe claim from the start of the game so it can be brought up if and whenever it comes to it. Saying you sat on your action was also pretty bad, in my opinion. At the time you had to claim a lot of other people had already claimed their roles and you could have placed a bet on some interaction there. I would have probably said I watched Vitek as that made a lot of sense - a claimed Doctor is a prime target for a Town Watcher. Knowing that there was no NK should have meant for you that either there are no other scum left beside you or the Doctor successfully prevented the kill which means the scum didn't touch them. I would have said I watched Vitek and no one visited them. Obviously this could have caused a conflict with some of the unclaimed players but I believe it was your best bet from your perspective and when you have your back against the wall you have to take risks anyway. The fact that you said you didn't submit an action and later on you "remembered" your role was inactive until N2 was the mess up I was talking about.

If he was... why would he? It's not in the mafia's interests to keep serial killers around. ;)

Wooo, OG bros think alike.
That's how it is supposed to be done. No daychats, no modern technologies, no whatsapping. Just leather, raw meat and conspiring at night, like true lowly disgusting scums.

Awseome. Make your heart stronger than it was before so it could crush any future invading illness simply by flexing its buffed muscles and laughing at those invading fools.

If it gets too strong it might crush his other organs though.

Lifthrasil: I went back over the things you wrote, Micro, and they just don't fit.
First you were angry with yourself when you found out, that you could have had a Nightaction.
Then you write, that dedo even prodded you, warning you about the end of the Night.
Then you write, that you didn't have a Nightaction after all.

So... how did you find out that you could have had a Nightaction, if at the same time you couldn't? And why would dedo prod you at Night, if he had no reason to expect a Nightaction from you?

This are just too many self contradictions and since some friends will come for a sick-visit soon and tomorrow morning I'll have a cardiologist appointment, I don't know when I'll be online again. So I'm going to put you at L-1.

vote microfish
in reality dedo dm'd me to say "you were away for nearly two days before the D1 end, it's been 2/3 of the night, consider this a prod."
I've not played as many games as some but wasn't this too heavily weighted in terms of Town?

We only had 2 mafia members with the Serial Killer being a seperate faction.

You have 2 Masons, who are essentially confirmed town

You have 2 Lovers which are nearly always town. My take on Day 1 ending was that The Lovers must be a seperate faction. Because I don't see how you can have 4 players who are almost certain to be Town.

That gives Town a borderline 4 confirmed Townees. So when a Scum votes on them, they role reveal to stay alive. All of their claims made them unlynchable on Day 1

Then you have a tracker, a doctor, a limited detective but he isn't that limited because we have confirmed Town player, a vigilante, a gunsmith who from my understanding was essentially a second detective.

I suppose the games master has to account for Night 2 and 3 where you potentially lose 4 townees to add to a 5th townee on day But if the SK hits Mafia in his night kill on either of those nights that further reduces Mafia winrate. But all the while you have a gunsmith and a parity cop who have a high chance of finding scum.

Just some thoughts, I'm sure it's not easy designing a set up.

As discussed extensively in the game: Lovers contain no alignment confirmation whatsoever. On the contrary, these were the first same alignment Lovers I've ever encountered. My first assumption as Town-Lover would be, that my partner is probably Scum.

Town-Town lovers are heavily negative utility.. Since Town can never be sure if their alignment, but Scum knows that they have a juicy two-kills-for-one target.

Town-town lovers are a detriment to town, not a benefit. There's no town confirmation at all, but they do act as a kill one, get one free sale for the scum. I'd say it was a swingy setup - if we hadn't got you on D1 and DK hadn't got themselves modkilled town would have been in a tricky spot. Add to that the high chance of me aiming my vig shot wrong and the kills from both mafia and SK and town could have lost pretty quickly.

No. You generally balance things with a ratio of 25% mafia and 75% town. If you include a third party faction that can win with the town, then they take a spot from the town. If not, they take a spot from the mafia as they would be another antagonist.

Since the mafia had only two members, instead of three, this should tell you that there is a third party role that is hostile towards the town - serial killer, arsonist, or something similar.

A savior protecting someone town-aligned would take a town spot and would win with the town if that person stays alive to the end of the game. If a savior is taking a mafia spot, then they're trying to protect someone mafia-aligned.

The games here are a bit too small to have a Mentor, Inquisitor, Cult Leader or anything else that recruit members.

The only thing special about Masons is that they have night communication. Also as you saw from Day 2 if one Mason acts in a manner that others find suspicious, they can drag their teammate down if their roles become known.

The Lovers are actually worse off than if they were Vanilla Town when both are town-aligned. However I am so sick of this role and explaining (granted, I did mess it up at first) that I wouldn't mind see "There are no Cults and Jesters" updated to "There are no Cults, Jesters and Lovers."

No, it doesn't. The Masons have confirmation of alignment and only with each other. Everyone might look at them and think, "You could be Masons, but you could be Mafia." When you find yourself with both Masons and Lovers, it's not unreasonable to think that either the Masons were imposters (mafia) or one of the Lovers is mafia.

Day 2 could easily have resulted in a mislynch of a Mason or both Lovers.

supplementscene: Then you have a tracker, a doctor, a limited detective but he isn't that limited because we have confirmed Town player, a vigilante, a gunsmith who from my understanding was essentially a second detective.
The gunsmith only goes around checking who owns guns and who doesn't. The role is not able to check alignment. This means that if Razza checked out Catte, Ambiti0nZ, DkKoba, or Scene - Razza would find the presence of guns. Half these people are town-aligned and half are mafia. (The gunsmith themselves would also have guns.)

You'll notice that I didn't mention Microfish as the Serial Killer never has a gun. The Serial Killer's weapons would be duct tape, zip ties, stabby stuff, and whatever else he wants but not guns.

By the way I was intrigued to see how this might turn out. Thematically the mafia and the vig would have been petrifying people using the Collector blasters that were mentioned in the OP. On the other hand Beast Man would have been using the Diamond Ray of Disappearance which was going to make people disappear leaving identifying stuff behind for their flip. With the mafia gone, until Catte used his shot no one (beside Micro) would have known the alternative NK was being used.

Unfortunately, I don't know what you're talking about when it comes to collector blasters and the Diamond Ray of Disappearance. Seriously, all I know about Masters of the Universe is 1) most characters have silly names and 2) cats.

This is just the flavor. The kills would have been different and that would have been announced thematically but also mechanically so it's clear for everyone who doesn't care about flavor. The thing is that Micro's kill is technically different from the mafia + vig type of kill. But since the mafia didn't kill anyone no one would have recognized Micro's kill as something special until Catte also used his ability.
