Pookina: Right now, my scum radar is leaning in nmillar's way. I don't think the main problem this Day is whether I'm Scum or Town. The main problem would be if one of you (dedo or nmillar) convinces me better than the other.
I will do no such thing, as I believe you to be the remaining scum. Why would I want to try and convince you to vote for dedo, when it's dedo that needs convincing to vote you?

So no comment on everything else? I see.

Also, you say you believe I'm the remaining scum, but none of your posts include a solid case against me. The closest were "he said he expected dedo to kick the bucket," which you had no comment on when explained.

So yes, you aren't making good cases for anybody so far. Not against dedo, not for yourself. Or for myself.

I have nothing else to add at the moment that hasn't already been said, and you thinking that dedo would be the NK just comes off as an, "omg, how surprising" post.

Why would I make a case against dedo if I think he's town?

I should do a complete re-read, but not going to have time to do that today.
The weather on the mountain was "Silent Hill"-like so we went to the park instead where it turned out to be a nice, sunny day.

Catching up now.

OK, this is actually alarming. I find it quite bold of you to just presume you're the one that needs convincing and the rest of us need to work towards getting on your better side. If you're Town aren't you supposed to be doing work right now and making sure you're voting correctly rather that playing judge on a beauty pageant? I don't like where this is going.

I'm going to go back and look at Pooka's posts again after lunch.

But I did do my homework. See everything in the same post that comes before the bit you quoted. Based on the work I've done, I'm leaning towards nmillar being the scum.

Then why is it a matter of who convinces you better?

More or less I already made up my mind and ready to vote, though I don't want to be hasty and take that action now, thus risk losing the game.

I'd rather wait for nmillar to do his re-read. I intend to do the same, if you don't mind.

I'm not voting any time soon, don't worry. I'll happily wait until the last day to cast my vote.

Lifthrasil: Pooka: scummy. The statement 'I am myself' is strange. Since I am not. My PM says otherwise. His solid Town-reading of ZFR is a bit strange too, because 'scum ZFR wouldn't risk such a discussion.' We all have learned in the past, that scum do risky thing precisely to appear Towny because 'scum wouldn't do that'.
Okay, I'm about a third of the way through, and this sticks out, as reading through the early part of D1, there's a little bit of back and forth between Pookina and Joppo, which on the surface looks like fairly standard for D1 / RVS, but knowing Joppo's alignment now means this could be an attempt at reverse psychology by interacting with a fellow scum buddy.

The other thing that stands out is Pookina mentioning at the end of page 1 about wagon analysis, but I don't think I've seen any wagon analysis from him in this game?

Still 10 or 11 pages to go.

bucktoothgamer: It wouldn't put it past the scum to help hammer home the NL, and use their voting record down the line to argue their town-ness.
avatar
joppo: I find it at least interesting (funny/worrisome, depending on your alignment) that you say this in the same post you vote nolynch.

avatar
Microfish_1: You say you can't townread him, but you don't say anything about scum reading him.
vote pooka
avatar
joppo: What? I don't know what you consider it, but for me townreading and scumreading are just two sides of the same coin. In past games I always said "I scumread player Y like this" and after that I listed where in the town-mafia scale they fell. Sometimes fiercely in the towny side.

So I have to say that Pooka's explanation makes sense and your jump on him feels like a half-assed attempt to shade.

I don't like voting on D1 because we don't have any certainty. But I'm feeling bold, so
Vote Micro

Microfish_1: This year I want to say that I'm thankful for the friends I've made on gog in the last year and a half or so--I appreciate all of you (even those who aren't in this game). Playing forum mafia and / or otherwise interacting with you has made the year seem less crazy, and this is a year when "less crazy" is a Very Good Thing. Thank you!
avatar
joppo: I agree. Personally I had a better 2020 than most people, and I have many reasons to be thankful. One of those is the friendship I have formed with the people I play Mafia (and Among Us) with. Thanks mates.
Interesting how Joppo jumps to Pookina's defence here.

I refer thee to this post. You even participated later in its discussion, when Lift nitpicked about not including myself in the two main elements of this post.

Weirdly enough, I was just about to mention the to and fro with Lift about not including yourself in the "everyone else" list. It was Lift that commented that you'd used that phrase rather than, "the other scum is in this list".

In your favour, however, is the bragging rights post that mentioned 3 people rather than 2, though that could of course have been a clever ploy, as other people mentioned at the time.
Pooka has fewer posts that I thought he did so this wasn't as a lengthy read as I expected.

The points that seems to be attention-worthy, in my opinion:

- Pooka's bragging rights consisting of 3 people;
- Pooka has voiced more than once his belief that the scum team is split between voting for Trent and staying away. Eventually that lead to an argument between him and Lift;
- This post:

avatar
Pookina: Trent, I just came online and you did this :_(
- Something that works in Pooka's favor is that he shared his belief that Micro is likely Town and stuck with voting Joppo on D2. He didn't take part in Micro's wagon post-shift. Although he seems to not be around when that was happening so not sure how much weight that carries.

I have to say there are things that can be read as if it's scum!Pooka but I still have to go through some mental gymnastic about it.
