have now downloaded it three times in a row and while the download is speedy and all the bloody installations kills my rig, it just hangs during the process.

had to restart my pc 3 times because of the shoddy bastard called as an application
even the weather broadcasts aren't as shite as this bastard software - I'm calling quits on this game ain't worth the nerve

use this instead:

https://www.gog.com/downloader

afterwards go to

https://www.gog.com/downloader/listing/the_witcher_3_wild_hunt

and download everything.

Now all what is left to do run the manual install,

Anyway I've downloaded the game for the fourth time, but this time I used the links for the files in the game library.
Installed without the integrity check and it installed seemingly good.
110GB download just to get it absolutely right

well father Ted comes to mind - you can't get it absolutely right
