It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Now. I know this whole thing is still beta, but...

First of all, why does GalaxyClientHelper have to be running as 3 different processes - what do they do, each?
Is this the soon-to-be-modular thing, perhaps?

But, more importantly, why does it constantly claim 10+% of CPU activity even when idle for half a day?!
This is what really grinds my gears.

Also, when downloading / installing something, my whole system [with an by now old dualcore, granted] slows down to a pathetic crawl. That's not only affecting videos or other things in the network, as there doesn't seem to be a way to tell Galaxy not to be so greedy and claim all the available bandwith for itself for the next 15 minutes, but also a CPU thing on top of that.

These performance issues could be crushed under the sheer horsepower of stronger systems I guess, but c'mon guys, there needs to be a way to finally get this optimized and running smoothly without being such a performance hog, especially when idle.

And now, the last update seems to have introduced another problem: I can't use the community from within Galaxy properly anymore. Several buttons just don't work, such as search topic, or mark as solution. And typing has gotten more difficult, too. As somehow, some of the typed stuff like, single letters, just don't show up whenever Galaxy goats again for seemingly no reason. What gives...?

1. CPU when idling usage should be vastly improved with the next update, hopefully coming in the couple of days. As for your ClientHelper processes: Client uses Chromium for rendering and these are it's helper processes.

2. if you believe your system resources are too much affected by downloads and installation, decrease number of download threads in GOG Galaxy settings to 1 and see if it's improved - it should both affect CPU and network use.

3. I'm closing this topic as there is a sticky regarding GOG Galaxy beta - https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_galaxy_beta_2 - would be great if you could post your further feedback there.
