Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

Kalopsia101: How do you manually back up saves?
Find the save files and copy them to your back up disk. What those files are depends on the game you want to back up the saves.

http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Home usually provides the save file locations.
I just caught the Mac galaxy client eating 2.4 gigabytes of memory. It had been open for a week or so, i don't shut down that computer, just use the sleep mode.
This behaviour is suspiciously similar to the memory hog called Google Chrome, especially since i see "Galaxy Client Helper" processes besides the main "Galaxy client". Are you embedding Chrome? :)
I'm running Galaxy 1.1.8 here and every day it asks at least once to restart so that it can apply an update. Except it closes and never opens again until I reopen it manually by double clicking the icon on the desktop. And it doesn't update at all.

Minmataro: Any ETA on cloud saves or if its in the cards at all? Honestly having to take my saves from PC to PC (I have three pcs in my home) with a thumb drive is super inconvenient.

You can try GameSave Manager.
This has been like this since like the beginning of Galaxy but seeing code (or what looks like code) for a few seconds when starting Galaxy and/or opening chat (even on the site) is a bit jarring. It's not really an issue, but it would be nice if Galaxy could handle this better rather that showing us it's back end stuff even if it's only for a few seconds. Doesn't look very professional.

Yes, Galaxy uses the Chromium engine.

I've had this happen as well. I had to manually download the latest client EXE installer, then uninstall Galaxy, delete the C:\ProgramData\GOG\Galaxy folder, remove the client files from E:\Program Files... and then reinstall the new client and potentially let it update itself again. I think the updates fail due to mix-n-match files left behind from old upgrades, but fresh installs seem to fix it.

I can't get the scanning function to scan the games in the GOG folders. Is there a fix around that?
Thanks for the updates, gog galaxy devs! You make me proud to have been here for so many goddamned years.

I just found out that I reported two issues which were only my own fault in handling Galaxy. Is there any way to close thise reports by myself (so far I have just added a note).

Thank you! I think it worked! :D
Why is it that Galaxy constantly gets stuck updating The Witcher 3? It always gets stuck in the very end of the "moving" part of the update and never finishes. Last time I asked this, I ended up uninstalling and redownloading the entire thing and just as I finished fixing Galaxy's update problem I got it stuck "moving" after pointing the new Galaxy installation to where the game was installed. I ended up uninstalling it and redownloading it again, but now it is stuck in the "moving 100%" part once again.
Well I have been having a hell of a time getting Galaxy to update itself properly.
I would find the updates and start, then freeze and report a failure. Only to then pop-up
that an update is available etc..

Finally think I found the culprit as Windows Defender. I leave it running even though I have a real AV
going as well. Disabling WD let the updates finally finish.

I've added an exception to it for program data/GOG.com/Galaxy and will see if that fixed the issue when the next update hits.

As a separate request, could you guys implement use M4/M5 as a back/forward button inside Galaxy.. Every browser supports it, so I would really appreciate if you could bring this functionality to Galaxy as well instead of just clicking on the < and > icons.
