Hello everyone,

it seems that there is an issue with GOG Galaxy and the Witcher 3 that can result in the game not starting.
In my case, I had installed GOG Galaxy some time ago, but didn't like it and uninstalled it. So I downloaded the Witcher 3 via the GOG downloader and installed it and the patch and so on. But when I want to start the game it crashes (Appcrash). The solution that seems to work for me is renaming/deleting the galaxy.dll in the x64 folder of The Witcher 3. I receive an error message that the gallaxy.dll cannot be found, but the game starts afterwards (although I havent played it yet). Thus, it seems to be the case that there is something left over from Galaxy causing problems? However, even cleaning the registry from every Galaxy entry I could find does not solve the problem.
I don't seem to be the only one, in fact I myself would not have found this solution, so could someone from GOG give us a statement about this issue?

Kind regards,
rjz
You could try posting a Galaxy client bug report to the tracker at http://mantis.gog.com/

However, the Galaxy staff recently closed a load of open tickets, basically saying, you were using an older version of the client when you submitted this, open a new ticket if you still have this problem with the current version. So they might not be receptive to your problem.

Alternatively, you could open a Support ticket.
