Has any one else had issues using AVG? I just switched on my machine and it's flagged GOG galaxy as a Trojan and won't let me say it's not at this moment it's in the process of removing and shredding all evidence of it to secure my pc. Seems really odd as I have it on another unit with AVG and it's not affected on that one. Though the other unit is running windows 10 64 bit where as the one with the issue is running windows 7 64 bit pro. Still though it shouldn't flag incorrectly. Any one else had this problem?

It is probably a false positive report, just make sure you download it from the official source.
In the GOG GALAXY BETA thread you can find others saying they got something similar from a firewall or antivirus. I also encountered a few of these false positive reports during the download of a few games.

it was downloaded form the official source and yeah it was producing a false possessive for Rayman forever it got to the point where I switched AVG off just so I could install that one game :/.

In these cases, if I can't download a game through GOG Galaxy, then I get the backup installer, and add it to the client later. Also, I managed to bypass this problem by running the client as administrator, for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.
I don't have Galaxy, so I can't speak for it, but I do know that AVG and Avast both interfere with the playback of some games' cut scenes. Commandos Behind Enemy Lines comes immediately to mind.

So, it's possible that AVG could be the cause of your problem.

Tangentially related, I threw Clamwin at my computer recently, and it pointed at some files in SMAC (and a few others) as trojans. I think they were harmless Blink Video codecs.

Erm I know I have everything running as admin. I may see if there is another method of bypassing the avg check. If not I'll manually add GOG galaxy as a friendly program that usually solves random issues like this.

Thank you all for the help.

Kazica:
I have Galaxy and AVG and I didn't get any warning.
If you downloaded Galaxy from the official page, you're good. It's not a Trojan.
Just add an exception to AVG.
