Yepoleb: I'm pretty sure this was a reaction to WinterSnowfall scanning the ID ranges for unreleased games. I doubt they'd make an exception just for me.
As much as I'd welcome the infamy that seems unlikely, but most likely the addition of the "is_secret" flag to the products API and the hiding of yet unreleased product entries was a reaction to my scans among other things. That happened a while ago though, and I think it was inevitable regardless of what certain people did or didn't do with the publicly available info that was inadvertently leaked this way.

As to the current problem, the API is not returning any data for already released games which are part of a pack... it would make no sense whatsoever to hide them from my scans since they're already released. And anyway, my scans these days mostly serve the purpose of providing product updates for non-MaGog tracked games... I haven't done a full range scan in months.

The crawler script was broken from Nov 1st 00:00 to Nov 2nd 04:00 because I used a not so intended way of loading the catalog. It works for now, but I've not properly fixed it, so it may break again soon. I know 28 hours are not that big of a deal, but I'd still like to notify people about delayed or incorrect data.
Hi Yepoleb, I noticed there are 2 entries for Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back id: 1751048018 and 1503510643. 1503510643 has "Game" listed under Type but the store page button does not direct to Bubsy at all, only 1751048018 does.

Dungeons 3 also has 2 entries but both store page buttons direct to the proper GOG page

Thanks for your work.
Is it possible with gog api, like steamdb or steamchart, to track the number of players playing the game through galaxy?

That would not be perfect since i would guess a lot of people don't use it, but it would be usefull when an online game is on steam and on gog, to help you decide where you prefer to buy the game. (a question i asked myself when i wanted to purshase grim dawn and some other game, since there is no cross store play).

edit] just noticed that you answered page 5 that you can't, my bad

Sometimes GOG replaces "Game" entries with "Package" ones and GOG DB shows both, because I can't currently detect removed games. This will get improved in a future update. Just select the "Package" entry for now.
I just skimmed the thread and, yes I saw the mention about not wanting to get too advanced on the site but I wanted to ask about searching for publishers.

For example:

https://gogdb.yepoleb.me/products?search=interplay

...doesn't pull up any titles although when you view a specific game:

https://gogdb.yepoleb.me/product/1427108887

...you are showing the data.

Thank you.

Thank you for the explanation Yepoleb. Looking forward to the update, no pressure ;)
high rated
I just updated the database script to use a more sane page sizes, I hope it won't break again anytime soon.

A more advanced search is planned after MaGog stopped adding new games, the current search functions is just something I put together because there needed to be some way to find the game pages. I know I keep talking about new features and not really implementing anything. I'm just currently not really in the mood to do programming and prefer playing hat simulator. Sorry for keeping you waiting :(

Oh yeah, advanced search is quite useful!

Wait.. hat simulator? :P
Btw, if you'll ever fed up with the project, please don't do like the gogrepo dev and simply warn us.

It's not an issue. I just wanted to point it out since the data was already present in your database.

Thank you again

No worries. All of this is done on a volunteer basis and made freely available after all, and by just one person, not by some group or organization which one might have demands from, being, well, organized. As long as it doesn't include malware or such, it's all good.

Yeah, Team Fortress 2. What did the gogrepo dev do wrong?

Yepoleb: What did the gogrepo dev do wrong?
He said that he would have released an important update, but then vanished before a few remaining days.
Many months later, we saw him playing on Steam, but we couldn't contact him in any way.
So nobody has idea what happened, nor can finish that update (there's some fork though).
Luckly Gogrepo is great and works as it is, but still..

When will you replace MaGog with GOG Database in your Adalia Fundamentals ?
Excellent work on this project, Yepoleb!
