bhrigu: Looks like the sale appeared one hour earlier than usual. So has the timing changed?
Added.. thanks..
Poland started DST since 25 Mar.
And its end is 28 Oct.

Sad but true. They've stolen one hour from us. The whole nation still suffers from sleep deprivation.

By the way, that's interesting what you've said here, because I was always sure that GOG tries to set their schedule for Western Europe and for universal time - at least that was how I explained weird changes in their schedules and strange timing...

Fairfox: it is interestin' listenin' to teh accent

tho i sort of drifted from teh thang when i got stuck.
then i found you can just watch all teh vids in teh folder an' ruined it all. not becaaause of O THIS IS WUT HAPPENED (caps) buuut just general content-viewin' :/

so i would recommend if you dont expect sign-posted end point an' dont ruin it for yourself
Sadly somebody just ruined it for me yesterday in the games finished in 2018 thread. Seems like there wasn't even a spoiler warning at first, according to the next post, but even if it was, I read quickly, take in chunks at a glance, so saw the spoiler warning which was added along with the spoiler.
So since I had it and been meaning to give it a go, installed it today and said might as well go through it. But meh now...
This is not the thread you're looking for...

<insert subliminal message> make Age of Decadence a daily deal <end of subliminal message>

Worth a try I reckon :)

I've seen it, thank you!

But I more and more get tired of GOG's sale presentation. 5 sales are running in parallel, all of them have different time schedules, some of them even get changed while they are running, very confusing. I hardly can motivate me anymore to spend the time to check all the promos and try to find the few good offers.

Yeah. But it's the general rule, struggle to maintain a model of continuous growth, which anyone with sense will say it's impossible indefinitely, until it's so overused it becomes completely ineffective and something even more extreme is needed for any effects. Like any addiction really.
Have some sales to make people buy, people learn to just buy on sale. To make even more people buy, sales get deeper, people learn to only buy on deep sales. Have constant deep sales to make people keep buying, people no longer react to them and wait for the next thing. Issue being that one possible next thing, handing out free games to draw more people which may then buy others, is also getting more and more frequent and losing effectiveness.
Not that it's a bad thing for the customer, mind you, free and deeply discounted stuff. But it's the need for growth thing that drives it all that's the problem. If it'd be done to be nice to the customer, it'd be awesome, but it isn't. (If GOG was still driven by that, they wouldn't have done plenty of the stuff they've done in the past few years.)
