Same message is showing up for me too. My settings at least the games part are public and yet the message shows up.
That's interesting. I'm getting the same message now..
Right under Your available games
Steam profile set to public.

Same problem here, I check GOG Connect every week and it's the first time I see this error message since the very first time I used GOG Connect years ago (at the time my Steam profile was indeed private, and set to public since).
IMHO Maybe steam api got disabled because of european GDPR regulations, or gog needs to modify connect to met new rules. This error started apearing for me around 25th of May and that's the date when new regulations are taking effect.(coincidence?)

yogsloth: No, that's not the message he's getting. Once you connect it will tell you "no eligible games" or something similar if connect isn't currently offered.

Sounds there there is a glitch somehow.

SirPrimalform: No, but my account has worked in the past but I'm getting the same message as the OP. I think it might be blanket use of one error message which doesn't quite fit all contexts.

Either that or the same error is now affecting me.
It's contagious! Quick, set up a quarantine! =D
It's probably to do with Steam chonging their privacy features, they probably also quacked up the API that gag was using. Meaning gag will have to take the time to find the problem and rewrite their connect interface. Which means it's probably broken forever.
Yeah i've been hitting the same issue since GDPR came into effect, kind of strange seeing "no eligible games found" and "your steam profile shows there are no games in your library". Worked perfectly fine before and all my settings haven't changed and have always been set to public, had to check that all my steam games hadn't been deleted suddenly but all 1000 games are still there but i'm sure wherever the fault is it'll get sorted eventually.
Yeah, GDPR is also a good guess. However...

Are you sure that the problem was already there by the 25th? I mean, that was only 5 days ago, and this post was created yesterday (the 29th), which can be considered "around the 25th"...
I hit up GOG Connect every single time they send me an email, and today is the first time I've ever seen this message.

Not sure what happened but all my stuff is set to public as well, and has been.
I have the same problem. It's begun 3 / 4 days ago. I have these two messages: "No eligible games found" and "Your Steam profile shows that there are no games in your library. This most likely means that your Steam account is set to Private. Please make your profile Public, then return to this page and click Refresh."
I've tried with refresh button, changing steam profile to private then again to public but it's been useless.
I think that maybe it's not a coincidence that this problem has begun after steam has changed privacy features.
what worries me about this error is:

15. If I no longer have the game in my Steam library, do I still keep it on GOG.com?
If a game is removed from your Steam account for any reason, such as through manual deletion or a refund – we reserve the right to remove the games from your GOG.com library.

confirm the same issue with Steam. Everything is public except for some screenshots which are private. The details I am getting are the same as the poster 2 posts above me. Could a GOG staff member please look into this?
Me too.

"NO ELIGIBLE GAMES FOUND

Your Steam profile shows that there are no games in your library. This most likely means that your Steam account is set to Private. Please make your profile Public, then return to this page and click Refresh."

Steam profile is set to public.

@GoG?
I have same problem here and I also have steam profile set to public all time, I even set private and after that public and I still have that problem.

There is no reason to panic, no games will be removed from your accounts!
Starting the disconnected movement isn't necessary at all ; p
