Rusty_Gunn: 15 GB wouldn't even be enough for my Fallout 3 saves =) & 15 is 50% over my monthly cap
Let's try to discuss games that are actually on GOG for the sake of this idea.

KiNgBrAdLeY7: Also... Do you know where *Sh*tstorms* come from?!? From *Sh*tclouds*, of course! So, keep the damn thing as far and as away as possible... Please? Oh my god it's moving again, aieee!

Mr.Caine: Go away you snivering man-child.
Not to validate either of you, KiNgBrAdLeY7 may sound like he is whining, but there are plenty of people who are concerned by having their things stored online in the "cloud". Many people worry about the safety of their data and even worse the ability of these systems to go through their computers.

The first is often something we all use but do not think of. I feel that keeping things in the "cloud" is okay, but you really need to be aware that anywhere you put data connected to the internet is potentially at risk from others.

The second where a system crawls through your computer to collect data, is to some a real boon. It goes to a selected location and uploads all of the files found there. The problem falls that you are then allowing someone else access to your system, and do you really know what they are doing? what they are after? and with so many cryptolocking viruses out there, do you trust them?

I do not think that "cloud" storage is a real solution, to keeping data safe. In the end those hard-drives could still crash or all become corrupted, but a lot of people have come to expect it. So whilst for some it is the norm and they will continue to expect it, I for one would prefer it to be a choice if it comes at all. I am, like many others, very happy with my own storage solution, however fallible it may be.
I've been thinking about that for a while now.backed +1
