EDIT - Okay, it seems a lot of us (starting with me) misunderstood the suggestion. This is about GOG pre-paid purchase cards, like Steam wallet cards, not the gawd awful Steam trading cards. Great suggestion (its been brought up before and [url=http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/gog_payment_gift_card]here) and apologies for the confusion.

No market, no tradable items, cards, backgrounds, emoticons.. Let us keep this place free from scammers.

if you use google you can find lots of thread about this, i'm not sure if it's ever going to happen, maybe in the future, who knows.

I seriously never understood the appeal of that kind of "digital cards".

I think he meant prepaid GOG cards. After all, he mentions "paranoid parents".

It's something to collect. Think of it as a meta-game, similar to achievements.

Actually, I wonder why it is still not possible to puchase "store credit" in some way: it would save everyone a lot of hassles during big promos, and they would be perfect to gift!

You are certainly right to define them as a meta-gaming feature, yet... I think I probably don't understand meta-gaming as a whole! :)
