LiquidOxygen80: So we can sum up OP's post entirely as *ahem* "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH"
I guess I was like him, well I never complained on the forums I kept it to myself. In 2004 I got Steam because it came with the physical boxed version of the PC version of Half-Life 2 sold at brick and mortar retailer stores, I was like ok, then 2006 I purchased the physical boxed version of the PC version of Red Orchesrta Osfront 41-45 from Fry's Electronic I was like eh cool. Then in 2009 when I purchased the physical boxed version of the PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 I got mad.
In 2010 I purchased the physical boxed version of Fallout: New Vegas and I was like damnit why did Bethesda Softworks have to do this. In 2011 I purchased the physical boxed version of PC version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and I got even more mad because of Steam and being more boring than The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
In 2012 I purchased my last video game from Steam, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. September 2015 will be 3 years that I have not purchased a single video game from Steam.
In 2010 when I heard about Electronic Arts (EA's) Origin I was like damnit another client. April 28th or whatever when I saw the paid mods I was like ok Steam's monopoly needs to be broken.
Now since April 28th, 2015 I actually prefer Electronic Arts (EA's) Origin over Steam, but I still have not created a Origin account.
In a way I was like jimmy cry baby I was mad at multiple clients. This year I realized we need multiple clients as long as they are not like SecuROM where it can destroy your harddrive or give you a limitation of how many times you can activate a video game on your PC.
We need multiple clients like GoG Galaxy and Origin to not let Steam be a monopoly on the PC gaming market.
I won't talk about Ubisoft's uPlay client because it still sucks.
