Just need to vent and say I fucking hate GMG and GoG Galaxy, yet another program I need to play ONE FUCKING GAME because every company needs to have their own shitty steam clone. Every other game me or my friends have ever got from GMG came in the form of a steam code. Unfortunately since I don't spend the appropriate 9 hours of research checking forums and reading fine print for every little purchase just to try to have a little fucking joy in my life, I get pigeon holed into this fucking piece of shit software.

I am so jealous of my friends who ordered Witcher 3 off GMG but got blank codes so they could get refunds and buy Witcher 3 off steam instead where they don't have to deal with this garbage. I wish I had been so lucky as to have been on the receiving end of GMG's incompetent staff so I could've received a blank code and got a refund too because apparently, once a code is sent out, it is impossible to get a refund because the grand fucking wizards of GMG can't do a single fucking decent thing in their lives.

So now I get to have yet another garbage steam clone software. This is kind of like if I wanted to have dinner, and I needed a fork, a spoon, and a knife, but my fork is from EA so I can only get it from my EA drawer, and my spoon is from fucking Ubisoft, so I need to go to a separate Ubisoft drawer, and my spoon is in the new "beta" GOG Galaxy drawer.

This is fucking ridiculous. Fuck GMG for shoving more shitty steam clones down peoples' throats.

Fuck GMG.
Fuck GoG Galaxy.

I fucking hate the scummy business practices going on in the game industry these days you soulless, immoral pieces of human fucking trash.

Galaxy is optional, you can download just the installer and not bother with the client, so calm the eff down.

EDIT: Just checked the site - the fact that it is a GOG Key is literally the first thing that is on the game's page after the title and trailer, in regular print.

Anyway, at least I am glad there is PC gaming also outside of Steam. Monopoly is never good. Your mileage apparently varies.

If you were expecting all PC games to be Steam games, too bad. You are the dumb one then.

Oh right, and weren't those GMG GOG codes questionable anyway, ie. not quite so official? :D So the blame actually would go only towards GMG, as GOG.com has never approved GMG (or anyone else for that matter, besides GOG.com), to sell GOG keys for this game.

So no blame to GOG then, take your diatribe to GMG.

Calm down, sir. You can still play your GOG game(s) without using the Galaxy client.

Or what Alesh said, download the non-client installer.

Installation of gog galaxy is optional. You can easily play TW3 without any client^^

Unlike Steam when you purchase PC versions of video games from gog.com you own them 100% on Steam you rent them.

VALVe can close your Steam account with all of your video games whenever they want for no reason.

On gog.com all video games are 100% Digital Rights Management (DRM) free.

He was basically complaining that GOG.com even exists at all (as an alternative to Steam). I hope it didn't come as a surprise to him that venting about GOG.com's mere existence isn't necessarily received well on the GOG.com user forum. Maybe I made the wrong assumption that surely he would have realized that even beforehand.

Anyway, GOG hasn't even approved GMG as a GOG key seller, so... :)
