Wow, thank you! I can't remember if I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but at work we're playing a pool for our domestic football (soccer) league. I am a self-proclaimed expert on football and I'm about 2/3rds down the table. In other words, I suck. And yet, somehow, I manage to win this suicide pool with only a basic understanding of the game. Some say "knowledge is power", but clearly, I need to forget everything I know about football... Now! :D

For the prizes, I'm going to play devil's advocate and say you're not out of the woods yet. As the rules are stated, you've got to survive the entire regular season. Otherwise, we're all gunning for the second chance spot. Fun times!

Unless I misunderstand the rules Dzsono won 1st, RWarehall won second and the only thing that is still undecided is the second chance pool.
i'd have to assume both Dzsono and RWarehall are not eligible for that, since they already "won". So technically, those guys can quit if they wanted, or play on just for fun?

It's a natural enough assumption, but on reading the rules, I don't think it's actually true. I won't presume to second-guess our gracious host, but since we're all doing this mostly for the fun of it, I thought I'd err on the side of the literal interpretation, which just so happens to keep the fun going for all!

Plus, it's clear we all suck too much at this sport to warrant the top prizes :P It's up to Dzsono to carry our collective honour XD

I had a bad feeling about Denver last week since they were on the road and St' Louis was playing better, but the games I really liked had teams I already had picked. And Denver still should've whooped 'em. One of my fantasy league (6-pt for passing TD), I've got Payton Manning and the fewest points he scored all season before this week was 24.

About the rules, the suicide part is over. The second chance part continues however until the end of the season. Basically it is a contest for third place.

That is one of the drawbacks of a suicide pool. Once you are eliminated or won, it ends, regardless of whether the season is still going or not. Maybe Dzsono and RWarehall will still make picks and those in the second chance pool could use them as recommendations? :)

The struggle continues! By all rights and measures, Cardinals vs. Seahawks should be a cracker; there's also some intriguing low-quality rivalry potential in the Jets v. Bills and the Cowboys v. Giants. But for my money, let's see if the Pats can overcome the Lions!
