The savages decided that the roots are not trappable and after testing them instruct Crevurre to follow by climbing on the roots. They've pre-burned the spiders in the way and smoked out hidden ones.
Throwing my hat in. Thanks for the opportunity Doc!

*******
With a pounding head, failed explorer Diego Bartolomeu makes his way towards the faint light. Waving his torch in front of him burning the spiderwebs in his path as he tries not to slip and crack his skull on the pavestones.

'Ol' One-Eye had better be right, and that damn elixir better be here somewhere.'
Delaware Thompson surveyed the cavern. "Looks like a trap either way" she mused to herself. "Take the path, and I'll be prey to whatever lives in the slime. But use the poles, and I'm betting those spiders will descend down for a quick meal - knowing this region, they'll have lethal poison no matter how small they are."

She touched the gun holster. No help there. Killing a few eels or whatever those cave dwellers are, or a few spiders, would not help against the many that would remain.

Then she had an idea. She looked towards the ceiling. The poles seemed in better condition further up, and dry, the moisture from the water below mostly staying near the ground. Risky, but it could work.

She swung her whip in a wide arc, wrapping it around the nearest pole, and swung her way across to it, protecting the torch as best she could against the rush of air. As she landed, predictably, skittering could be heard from high up, spiders starting to descend down. She quickly unwrapped the whip while climbing up the pole - and then held the lit torch to the top of the pillar. The dry part of the wood caught fire, rising up towards the ceiling, and enraging the spiders who chittered and halted their advance, blocked by the flames. Delaware quickly swung her whip, wrapping it around the next pole and swung across to it.

She planned to repeat the procedure pole by pole, until she would finally land on the other side of the chamber. But as she continued, behind her, the burning poles started to collapse one by one, until an ominous creaking started to sound from the ceiling, becoming ever more rapid. "Uh oh." She quickly picked up the pace as the ceiling started to collapse, large boulders raining down onto the chamber behind her. "Looks like I'm not going back that way." The other side of the chamber was so near, and she could see a dark tunnel leading onward...

I'd like to think I contributed to this happy turn of events when I reached out to the developers along with other fellow Goglodites.

I'm in!

Peter Parkour had visited all sorts of ancient ruins, but this time he was one step closer to the Elixir of Youth, and nothing would stand between him and this incredible discovery.

But it seemed all too easy, surely there was some trap waiting for him. He decided to take a first step in the corridor, alert to any sign or noise, and if a trap was sprung, he would be ready to avoid it thanks to his agility... or so he hoped.
I'm in, I leave this as a place holder. I will write a story! :D

Americo Cortez had come a long way and faced various dangers to get where he was, and he felt that the end of his journey was near.
He was tired and a little hurt, his clothes were dirty and torn, he had run out of rations the day before, but his will was still intact.
For him to fail was not an option, he could not afford to do it, his beloved April depended on the success of his mission ... For a moment he lost in his memories, April had always been a fragile woman, since she was young her life began to slip through her fingers but that never stopped her from shining and being a beacon of light for everyone around her.
She found Americo in his darkest hour and helped him out of the abyss he was in, from that moment on he was eternally grateful.
The first time she was admitted to the hospital, he was devastated, but despite her condition, April never lost her smile and her light. Americo tirelessly searched for a solution, he was always an adventurer and he risked his life in a selfless way, life seemed to cling to him more than he to life. When the answer knocked on his door, he did not hesitate to take his things and leave, his wife's life had already declined a lot in the last 5 years and her despair was greater than sensible.
The last 2 months gave result, everything seemed to indicate that he was in the right place, when entering the temple and overcoming the different traps he had entered that long tunnel.
He came to himself, check his revolver, just 3 bullets. Tore off a sleeve and added it to the dying torch and prepare to enter the cave.... The dice will tell.

I'm in, this is a great looking game!

Dusty Maguire steps up to the stone plate. He just wanted to play baseball, but a mysterious old man told him if he wanted to get the Ultimate Bat, he had to get some drink or something from this place. Called it the elixir of youth or something. He doesn't recall, he only remembers baseball batting averages, and his phone number. Too bad he forgot to bring that phone, maybe he could have used the flashlight on it instead of this torch. Oh well. But out of the corner of his eye, he spots some sticks coming up out of the water. They remind him of his old wooden bat at home. So he figures, "I think I'll swing this whip here at that stick and try to break off a piece and use it as a bat in this place, just in case I find some baseballs later."
Won't have time to be on forums much the next few weeks (aka not in), but thanks to Doc for another imaginative and generous GA!
I'm just waiting for people to start dying.
I would like to participate.
The intrepidus Frederick Guiller, avance through the cavern looking at his surrounding, with the whip in his left hand.
Gabriel Gorgeous is the name, one of the few cave mapping expert in his land would like to be considered

The first thing he does is to locate his bag of map caving equipment. He never miss an adventure without it. A compass, a clinometer and some reel measuring tape. A waterproof ink and book with plastic as a waterproof solution.

Should he managed to locate them he will choose the widest path while concentrating to fully map the area.
