Ophelium: I'll defend the Mosaique series, but this is too low effort for even me.
Did you try this one?
https://www.gog.com/en/game/mosaique_neko_waifus_5

When I played it it solved several puzzles right from the start without me having to do anything. I reported this to the dev but never got any reply. Now I am wondering if this is a known problem with this game or if it was sth. in my configuration. All other mosaique games worked just fine.

I know porn games can be literally templates thrown at a system, but we're scraping new lows with pissing jigsaws.

There's enough shareware jigsaw programs out there from the DOS days onwards that I could assemble all the dirty pictures I want in any configuration I want. Here, look.

And given that the whole of pornographic media can be found somewhere on the internet, why would I need to debase myself to unoriginal imagery, especially if that claim about AI imagery is correct?

Knowing what boring trash the publishers seem to think people are into (I've seen more salacious art on a Magic the Gathering Card), when I could wander onto a website to find someone getting gently teased by a riding crop. That someone happens to be an anthropomorphic reindeer lady, but hey, tis the season.

Oh, while you're insulting the sensibilities of the customer base, why not throw Christmas Hentai Puzzle at us?

Please rephrase this. You are NOT talking for everybody here.

Alright, how about this.

Climbs atop a particularly tall horse.

I feel my standards are being insulted as this is about the least novel type of game that could be published on this very website; one as such low standards as to be included in DVD menus as a minigame! All I ask is that GOG's Product Management Team have some standards for once in their life instead of serving us this absolute swill! It isn't even about objectionable content, serve all the buttocks you want, but please, give us some novel gameplay!

Darvond: I feel my standards are being insulted ...
Much better, thank you :)
If Darvond was only speaking on their own behalf, saying that they don't enjoy jigsaw puzzles, that is fine. Unfortunately, Darvond wants to make the catalog of all stores they care about to solely cater to their own preferences. That is uncool as hell.

People who enjoy jigsaw puzzles and hentai should be allowed...no, encouraged, to enjoy that. No different from FPS aficandos and platformer lovers.

I did buy it, but I haven't given it a try yet. I'll test this out later today.

00063: You need achievements for a jigsaw puzzle?
Indeed I do. And also, in fact, I need Achievements for every single game that has them elsewhere for the same game, no exceptions.

That's called equal treatment.

That's called not being treated like a second-class citizen.

That's called not being ripped off by a feature-removed game, which has had its feature(s) removed on the GOG version for no good or legitimate reason.

Alexim is right, GOG should indeed do something about this second-class citizen treatment problem.

And what GOG should do is stop allowing games onto its store which remove feature(s) unless there is a good & legitimate techical reason for why that has been done...which with the missing Achievements feature, there almost never is. And there certainly isn't as regards to these MediBang games.

With regard to AI art: I'm pretty sure those floodgates only really opened within (roughly) the last year or two (which is also the timeframe in which I started to notice "budget" indie games like these using AI-gen art a lot more) -- I presume due to the tech having improved markedly. Only one of these games is from that period; the rest are originally from 2018-20. So if any of those used AI for the art, it's probably fair to say there was at least a human doing a large amount of postwork to fix the worst of the probably many glaring goofs from the generation process.

Here's the thing though. Achievements are not a feature of the game. They are a feature of the client. And GOG's client and Steam's client are not equal.

But you go ahead and keep charging at that windmill.

MarkoH01: Take all the time you need - thank you :)
First things first: I used an offline installer and did not run it through Galaxy. In-game version was 1.0.2.3.

I completed two puzzles and nothing happened automatically.

Apparently I need to play the previous entries because the characters seem to be established at this point and I felt a little lost.

I know it happened for several but not all puzzles. Unfortunately I can't tell you anymore which puzzles were affected. But i have no problem to wait until you played them all - it's absolutely not an urgent matter but it would be nice if you could give me some feedback after you've finished the game ... or experienced the issue - whenever that might be :)

These games don't actually have storys even though it might seem this way so there should not be much that you could have missed - though I understand if you'd prefer to start with the first one ... I did the same when I played them.

One could argue that this is not the case since devs actively need to implement them INSIDE of the game to make them even work and some devs enjoy it pretty much to figure out some new and creative ways to trigger achievements. You are correct with one thing: those achievements only work WHEN using the client ... but then that is the same with some MP functionality here on GOG and you'd hardly consider them "feature of the client".

It's funny how personal preferences work. I would happily pay more for a game sold here without its achievements. I consider them a nuisance this much.

You, on the other hand, want them in all your games and that's absolutely fine, but what I don't understand is why don't you buy your games on Steam? You need a client to have achievements, so DRM-free games aren't really what you're looking for.
