I saw a post around and i came up with an idea.
I am, as many others, a big buyer, but very bad player. I ended up with a huge "backlog" that i like to call "collection". I basically played around 5-10% of games that i own and i completed even less.

The objectives of Gentleman's Backlog Club:
- One member gets to assign another member a game from his backlog
- The member with assigned game it's doomed to complete that specific game

Rules:
- The person that wish to join Backlog Club needs to state his intention in this topic and post a list of games that he own;
- Another member of the Club will assign a game by replying to joining post;
- The member with assigned post needs to accept the challenge by stating that in a post;
- When he finish the game, it is required for him to write a short impression about the game and to state his intention of continuing the participation;
- Members gets to assign one game at a time and have only one active game assigned to itself;
- In order to join and be part of the club, members need not to have negative reputation.

General rules:
- Online games that do not necessary have an ending are excluded;
- Single Player games that do not have an ending are excluded as well;
- Anyone can decline an assigned game from any reason (political, religious, offensive, or they would simply do not like playing that specific game);
- If the game do not run well on a person system, or if the game is way too bugged, he can state and ask for another challenge.

I'll start. Those are my games:

Steam - http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198066577948/games/?tab=all&sort=name (ignore timers here unless they are like over 5-6 hours. I opened some games in order to get the cards)

On GOG i still need to type them or organize them somehow, as i didn't find a way to export my library. Tried with GOGMix, but there's a limit on number of games, unfortunately.

I must say that my PC it's not really up to date, i can't smoothly run some of the new games. I can run Skyrim ok, but kinda low frame-rate, just to have an idea.

So, next member that wants to participate will say so, quote my list and assign me a game. Next one will assign the previous user, and so on and so on.

I think it would be something fun. Maybe we get to play games that we ignored and we find something nice about them. I know i had these kind of moments with some.

Mighty members and their challenges:
PaterAlf - Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars
Lionel212008 - Disciples 1 + 2
mindblast - Thief Gold
Hunter65536 - Torchlight 2
Tannath - Sam & Max Hit the Road
Messi_is_Messiah - Thief
Random_Coffee - Commandos
moho_00 - Silver
BruceLeeForever - Ultima 7
Dessimu - Blackguards Special Edition
Nymes - Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition
Magnitus - Mark of the Ninja Special Edition
Yoshino - Unassigned until finishing other games
Bass47 - Battle Realms + Winter of the Wolf
skeletonbow - Hydrophobia Prophecy

I agree - great idea and I've got it in my favorites in hopes that it gets some good traffic. I'm not sure I want the responsibility of choosing someone else's gaming hours for them. Would be fun to get assigned a game, though, so I will at least consider jumping in in the future. :)

Hehe. Well, you can refuse or you can take as much time as you like to finish it. There's no rush.

I can't beat that game's tutorial. XD
Well, I think if someone has Jack Keane in their backlog then that is the automatic assignment.
I certainly won't post my whole backlog here, but I'll let you choose my next "classic" RPG:

Divine Divinity
Eye of the Beholder
Might and Magic III
Ultima Underworld

The game with the most votes within the next week wins.

I choose Ultima Underworld because it's one of PiranJade's favorite games :D
Same here:

My backlog is far too extensive and I need a new pc.

Vote for my next classic crpg or turn based fantasy game

1) Icewind Dale complete
2) Baldur's gate 1 + 2
3) Disciples 1 + 2

Play 3, then 1 then 2.

Save the best for the last
I am, at present, constricted entirely to a single core netbook that has windows 7. I don't see how disciples 3 would run on such a system.

However, I am keen on trying disciples 1 and 2. What about icewind dale?

Ah ah great idea. Right now I'm struggling to finish what I have already installed, but when it's time to install something new I'll come here.

I think Gnostic wanted to say that you should play the games in this order: Disciples 1+2 (3), Icewind Dale Complete (1), Baldur's Gate 1+2 (2).
