It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

JudasIscariot: If you see a level called "Dosan's Story" in the level selection menu after hitting start, you have the Special Edition version installed :)

MrBoat: Thanks, just checked it.
I doesn't seem to be a level called like that. Since I'm using a non-suported distribution I'll look into the start.sh for a solution myself. Thanks for your support Judas ;)
For me in Manjaro, I got a window asking me to select my MoTN install folder (the folder extracted from the base games tarball) when I clicked the .sh in the DLC tarball. Once I gave it the folders location it installed the DLC into that folder and worked from then on.

Oh I see, thanks!
I was replacing the special edition folders inside the base game by copy pasting them.

PS: Aw man, I'm a KDE guy, but your GNOME 3 Dark setup is just gorgeous. It looks so clean!

ssokolow: (That might also be why there's no GOG Downloader support for Linux games. Having giant "patch but not really" tarballs might be too confusing for it.)
It's has lot more to do with upcoming GOG Galaxy and it making GOG Downloader obsolete. There is simply no point in wasting resources developing Linux version of GOG Downloader when upcoming GOG Galaxy will be replasing it. GOG Galaxy will most likely be designed to be cross platform compatible from start.

Actually, I was referring to a post I ran across in the burst of activity immediately following the initial Linux releases where the poster was asking about downloading the Linux content using the existing Windows downloader.

Besides , there are unofficial cli based tools that do the same job we can use in the mean time.
I submitted a bug report to Golden Tricycle about GOG release of Clarc not launching. Let's see what they'll answer.
Do GoG intend to convert (all/some of) their existing catalogue to support Linux or is it only the newer games (and some really bad old ones looking at their existing range of choice) that have Linux support that will be in their Linux catalogue?

They want to convert their whole catalog... they just need to get permission first and then do QA on the installers.

(It's standard legal practice to make sure that a distribution contract allows just what was intended and no more. Thus, even for DOSBox-wrapped stuff, they need to ask permission to add Linux to the list of platforms offered.)
It's not going fast though. So far I'd say it's moving very slowly.
A bug in the new GOG UI. While the Tux icon is used now for indicating Linux games, it's not used consistently. Fore example in the game opened in your library (in shelf view), Linux doesn't have icon at all.

Sounds like less of a bug and more of an oversight.

Wouldn't surprise me. If you wishlist a movie, the wishlist shows it as a Windows-only game.
Well, it seems this recent overhaul has absolutely broken Play On Linux's GOG installers. :V
Hi all, I'm new to GOG and have encountered a problem.

I tried to buy the Dungeon Keeper bundle and the GOG installer isn't working. I bought the games, clicked on it in the library that then prompted the download of the GOG downloader/installer application, but that's as far as I can get. Every time I click on the game it prompts me to download the same application every time.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to GOG.

Keep in mind that the thread is about troubleshooting for Linux games and Dungeon Keeper isn't one. Nevertheless, ensure that the GOG downloader mode is deactivated, before you download, by pressing the green button that is located up and right from the game's download. Check the picture I have attached below to show you what I mean.
