grimwerk: No. $10 USD is nearly $14 AUD at the present exchange rate.

If your GOG price were somehow significantly higher than $14 AUD, (e.g., $16 AUD) then GOG should credit you the difference (e.g., $2 AUD).

Excuse my redundant dollar signs.

styggron: Currently US $9.99 = $13.63 AUD as of right now. (xe.com) which is one of the most accurates but either way yes, I thought the fair price should be kicking in and we should be given the difference :(

I just don't see how it works. As I said I thought it was if it is 9.99 US and more than 9.99 in your currency eg 9.99 AUD then you gt the difference.
Fair price covers regional pricing, meaning that if a publisher sets a different price for your region than others. It does not cover currency conversion.

So if there is no publisher setting a price, then it is just a case of bad luck I guess.
Thank you for explaining it, this now in one post makes complete sense.

:)

I would mark this post as the solution. Thank you yyahoo.

Case closed. :)

There is no difference. As you just noted, 9.99 USD = 13.63 AUD. So, the same price.

No, it means that if, after doing the currency conversion to USD, you end up with a higher price (in USD), then you get the difference back.

Can you think for a moment about what you're saying?

So If a person buys a 9.99 game in Indian rupees (9.99$ is equivalent to 600 rupees), GOG should give him 590$ credit?? Or maybe he should pay only 9.99 rupees (around 15 cents)?

EDIT: yes, lots of ninjas

Yes, but only effective one!

I blame loose roof tiles.

You're paying $1.85 AUD less than the base price. It's a US$9.99 game and you're only paying US$8.42. If you were paying more than the US price then fair price would kick in.

edit: sorry for posting after the matter was already settled - I should have refreshed the page before submitting just in case
