Did you post in a thread that has been deleted?
You saw the purple dot now?

I think it happens when someone presses reply but deletes your quote.
I've disabled my public profile, yet i still have a 'feed' 'profile' which point to an almighty 404 page....

Maybe... Does this mean I'm stuck with the dot forever..? >:( If so, new reply notifications are now useless.

Well, at least you know your dot isn't trying to actually tell you something you want to know. :P Mine could be.

I FIGURED OUT THE DOT!!!

Obviously it pops up when you get a forum reply, and you go read the reply, and it goes away. BUT then it comes back, but there is no reply. So what gives?

Someone has edited a reply to you.

Took me the better part of a week to figure this out. :P

So let's say I reply to paladin: "That's a good point."
He checks it, dot goes away.
Then I come back, and edit: "That's a good point, and I agree."

The dot will come back, but no notification will appear next to the respective thread, neither will the thread title appear in boldface. Only when paladin goes back and checks the edited answer, will the dot go away.

Don't bother with the ticket, you'll eventually get used to it and won't see it at all. ;)

That's exactly what my father told my mother after I was born.

Mine's been on for a month or more and reported but now I would miss the little bugger if you spoil the party and it's fixed.
