chevkoch: Looks great.
Thanks chevkoch, here is another sketch from the same evening. Girl playing Tetris on the original Game Boy.

chevkoch: Sweet one. What software did you use to "build" this?
avatar
InkPanther: Thanks. I'm using good old Lego Digital Designer.
Oh my, be still my beating heart. That sounds fantastic and likely is a huge time sink. Building something virtually and then ordering the parts to have the physical version, I might even give that a go sometime. Cheers.

Thanks for sharing another one of these. Looks like a moment perfectly captured, attitude, some slight tension in the posture (perhaps from being conscious of being drawn), casual focus on the handheld.

Breja: If we're comparing notes on building stuff out of Lego- have a look at my Orthank. The last pic isn't very clear because of the light, but the roof opens to reveal a Palantir inside on the middle floor.

EDIT: I'm not in, I just saw people building things out of Lego, so I thought I'd join in :D
That's awesome, I love it!!

Thanks again, the tension in her posture came from the game (Tetris requires full attention) as she didn't know I was drawing her. Usually, I draw people without announcing it and wait until I'm finished before showing them the result. Even when I sit very closely, the vast majority of people don't realize I'm drawing them regardless of whether they are busy reading/playing etc or not. It puzzles me how they can't notice but it works in my favor as it removes the factor of compliance. Most people don't mind being drawn if they are under the impression that you're not gonna botch it but if they don't know they're being drawn, compliance rises to a convenient 100% naturally.

Here's another sketch of a guy playing the original Call of Duty in LAN, also oblivious to the fact that I was drawing him, he was too busy trying not to get killed in-game.

To quote Léon: "The closer you get to being a pro, the closer you can get to the client." :-P

I wouldn't have thought that people usually won't notice you drawing them. Your talent tree must sport Stealth +1 I guess to make that work :) That's a great one as well, the level of immersion into the game comes across so vividly, I expect him to move in the next instant, it's that realistic. Love these.
Well I figure now is as good a time as any to join a giveaway for the first time in ages, because I just uploaded new music for the first time in ages haha.

My entry is here https://pressler.bandcamp.com/album/still-alive

Great entries from everybody else so far, I'm loving all the creativity! :)
I'm in for Massive Assault (with or without addon) since Zeo invited me.

a waltz I've written this month and recorded a few minutes ago, composed and played on the [url=http://s19.postimg.org/8jkt88sc3/DSCF2251_edit.jpg]hammered dulcimer I've got since June with mallets I've built sometime in August, I think. Since I've just started playing this instrument a few months ago, please have mercy on me. It's meant to be live dancing music supposed to be played over and over again with variations and several instruments going in and out as usual in Bal Folk.

Nice! I find this to be pleasingly geeky. I really do have to get back to my Lego bin sometime soon...

I've gotta say, I'm rather impressed by the uniqueness of all the entries in this particular contest.

At last! We are graced with the return of the mighty Klumpen!
I've always loved your entries, and this one is no exception. My only complaint is that it isn't longer.

Votes may be given either here in the thread or via PM. Whatever strikes YOUR fancy. Please only vote for one person, although honorable mentions can be made for a half-vote.tomorrow.
I'll keep counting votes until it seems like the interest has died out and it's likely that nobody more is going to bother. Then we get to the fun, prize-y part!

Please, please, don't all vote at once.
It's not like I'm just sitting here waiting for somebody to actually contribute so much as a single honorable mention.
No, not at all.
Klumpen0815 - Dulcimer Waltz first wote, and honorable mentions xalegra sword.
Eh...bump? It's gettin' kinda lonely in here...
