Is that not what all sales are like? It's on sale for a short time and it's back to full price?
A flash sale is just a really quick sale. I'm not seeing the problem. Everyone misses a sale in their lifetime and is sad because of it. But on the flipside with modern tech it's easier than ever NOT to miss one.

Remember actually having to visit a store to see something on sale? But what about everyone else who weren't there?!? There were only a couple of copies on the shelf too. Chances are the vast majority of people who wanted the game on sale didn't get it.

Now all you need is a few seconds of your time to check your smart device or PC. Wow. Sales are so unfair!

A flash sales are totally reasonable in a world of near-instant access to money and the stores in which to spend it in.

I think flash sales are fine... as long as the rules and / or details are clear (and in the case of a sale like Insomnia, a schedule). That's why I have no issue with the newsletter discounts. They lay everything out and even have a counter.

Which one is a good idea then? Can you please explain a little bit? I would like to know more about it. Thank you!

Well in the past the Insomnia sales seemingly overrode the front page. I don't remember being able to access much else during those times in-so-far as sales were related, and something like 10k copies of Jack Keane had to be purchased before the next item unlocked. It was actually quite infuriating. Along with the random free 'game' which would be claimed faster than it would appear on the screen.

Honestly having a couple items by itself with a fixed time limit is perfectly acceptable.
