Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen - Extremely stupid, but fun enough to warrant seeing once.
Recommend
The Fountain - too few people have seen this movie, and even fewer are fond of it. Took me a while to figure it out, and it's not at all action-packed or guy-cool. It's a strange, thoughtful movie, that I absolutely love.

I've been tempted to see this, because I've seen a couple of Darren Aronofsky's earlier efforts (Pi, Requiem for a Dream) but The Fountain has lots of bad reviews so I have avoided it so far.
Just checked IMDb (to get the spelling of his name) and noticed he's down as being the director for the RoboCop remake...
Don't see Transformers 2. Even for Megan Fox, it wasn't worth it. You're better off watching bad porn on cable.
I recommend seeing Transformers 2. A lot of people give it a bad ratings but these people are mostly die-hard transformers fans that think the movie is wrecking their childhood. Far too many people are being picky, e.g some people think it's racist because of a few words that the robots said... I didn't go there to watch Megan Fox, I went to watch awesome robot fighting and explosions that make you go 'WOW'... and T2 really delives there. Some people say it's too long but little do they know is that T1 was about the same length.
For $10 a ticket i'd go back and watch it a least 4 more times. The battles are awesome, the CGI is EPICLY AWESOME, the sound makes the room shake, a somewhat good storyline and girls if want that. So as I said if you're not a nit picker, it's a REALLY good movie.
Infact I'll go as far as saying I haven't seen a movie in the past two years (and I've seen most) that have been as good a T2.

but does it still have the terrible "comedy"?

To be honest, I've seen enough *Michael-Bay-big-explosion-scenes" in the trailer, don't want to see more...
Favourite films
There's so, so many, so I'll narrow it down to two. The Godfather and The Godfather, Part II. Masterful storytelling, and such incredible acting - especially from Al Pacino. The look on his face in II when Kate tells him she had an abortion....
Last film I saw
Watchmen. I liked the graphic novel, I liked the film even more. Really faithful to the source material, with surprisingly cohesive storytelling (the novel is all over the place). I'm looking forward to the Director's Cut on Blu-Ray later this year.
Recommendation
El Orfanato (The Orphanage). Spanish ghost story, produced by Guillermo Del Toro. More psychological than supernatural, it's a beautifully understated picture, none of that torture porn/psycho killer nonsense.

There is a lot more "comedy" scenes in T2 unfortunately.

right. thats it. I'm gonna go and get a copy of Final Cut and i'm gonna fix all these movies! :-(
Cut all the "comedy" out of T1 and T2. Merge Matrix 2&3 into one movie. Merge Star Warz 1&2 into one movie. etc...
It's only in the post LOTR period that i've come to appreciate the awesome work of movie editors.. I like the occasional long movie (like LOTR) but i've lost track of the number of recent movies that could really do with 20 minutes of crap cut out...
Managed to catch 'In Bruges' on Sky last weekend.
Has to be the funniest thing I've seen in years!

I've seen it twice, it's awesome. You should see the extra features on the DVD, not many of them, but worth it.
I watched Factotum today, Matt Dillon was great, but it's not as good as the book. I would recommend the book to anyone.
I'll recommend The Princess Bride any day.

Though from the sound of the movies you guys are recommending, I don't know if you'll like it.
