No it only has a few rocks and a dead cat thrown in, with tone policing and virtue signalling.

I can just see that smiling vault boy character winking with a thumbs up and with the message:

Tone Policing and Virtue signalling added

Oh god If I could make a mockup of what I see in my head made into a picture, You'd all be in stitches.

LOL!

it involves Todd Howard's head pasted over a babies head in a sandpit With the aforementioned tone policing and Virtue signalling added quip, LOL!

I was going to start a different thread (and still may) about the value of this failure/dumpster fire called Fallout 76. Bethesda has been skating by for a long time now on the fandom around their games without correcting obvious and much discussed problems to strengthen their products.

Open world games are no longer 'ambitious' enough to excuse the cancer of bugs Bethesda's games ship with nor is offering consumers a $60+ alpha of your game to test worth anyone's time or 'excitement.' Bethesda has re-released Skyrim a dozen times but can't be bothered to invest any effort in fixing broken quests or bugs for a game that continues to generate money for them. They can't rewrite their game engine or seem to make a game with as much or more quest content and exploratory surprises as their previous offerings instead opting for repeatable fetch quest designs and building simulators ('you make the world - don't expect us to!').

Bethesda is a studio in decline coddled by the glow of their fanboys and the arrogance of their past success. FO76 was a disaster a long time coming and hopefully is enough of a resource drain and reputation destroyer that a different direction will be taken going forward - but I'm not hopeful.

ChrisGamer300: Bethesda could just as easily make a different IP instead of calling it Fallout for branding.
Then they wouldn't be able to reuse 80% of their assets. FO76 is a cheap cash grab.

I haven't played the game, but I have also not heard anything about virtue signalling in this game and a quick search doesn't turn up much. It seems like you may be imagining things there.

fr33kSh0w2012: There isn't one of these yet so I'm putting one here so discuss away

Anyone here played it yet?
I play for several days (12 lvl right now). Game is based on the world exploring (and yes the map is giant). This is action survival game with Fallout 4 mechinics. But more interesting than other survival games (like Conan Exiles and etc.) Who wants rpg with dialogs and cinematic story - Fallout 76 not their game. But if you liked walking and exploring Fallout 4, loot hunting, reading holoterminals and notes, crafting and build farms - welcome to Fallout 76. I like exploring and I can enjoyed the game. The only bad thing, bugs (nothing critical) and game look like more beta then final product, but many games of this genre have same problem.

So in essence you could almost describe it as a walking simulator with combat? So it's like Gone Home, but with some combat mechanics.

I describe it survival simulator in the world after nuclear explosion of Fallout universe) You find some house - destroying ghouls in there - take some garbage for crafting armour - take some food and water, find notes with depressive story of family who lives there. Or for example you can find some store with robot who asking you to help to boil water because he works in a tea shop - for reward you will receive a recipe for tea and you can cook it and get some bonus for stats. So this is the same Fallout 4 but without human npc (only robots) and without dialogue tree, also necessarily you must eating and drinking and using medicines, and no cinematic story (all main story presented with notes and holotapes).

The way you describe it actually makes it sound even more like Gone Home, but with a combat mechanic and starvation and thirst mechanic.
I played a bit of the beta, was bored out of my mind. The ridiculous amount of technical issues & bugs I've seen from people with this game is hilarious. And they've already confirmed Starfield & Elder Scrolls 6 will be using the same engine. Fallout 4 was already a disappointment (imo) compared to Fallout 3, but it just keeps getting worse with Bethesda.

Fallout76... The only Fallout game to nail a barren empty wasteland perfectly.

Come on now, they'll add crafting and hunger and thirst mechanics.
I've read this game have a lot of bugs / issues. It's really that bad? :( I loved Fallout 3!

it’s nothing like fallout 3.
they even removed dialogue, you just read terminals and listen to long holotapes.
not an rpg at all.
