So, I found the direction to go to solve. Alas, I'm not sure if I can progress on this at work.

Doing it by hand seems possible, though incredibly time consuming, and not sure I can safely google for converters at work if I'm reading the hint right.

So yes, while I'm sure there is a script somewhere, I don't want to get fired over looking for it. ;)
Thanks a lot for this fun giveaway ZFR! ++
Not in though : )

Sadly it's not possible to put code on gog..

RupertMurdock: I don't want to misread your comment. So please clarify: Do want to get help? Shall I post my, quickly acquired, results or not?
What is the point of the riddle if you want to publically solve it. Then, not the smartest guy wins, but the fastest. But its then no riddle. No, please don't. Send PM to ZFR if you need help to solve it.

I am not ZFR, but in previous giveaway he posted the solution in details for people to learn it.
Don't get it, will wait for the solution :D

OK, just to clarify, please feel free to generally discuss the challenge here, but please do not post any specific solutions. You are very welcome to use PM for this.

This has been the unwritten etiquette in all GOG puzzle giveaways so far and everyone here is nice about this. I don't want to specifically post what is and what is not acceptable, just use common sense.

RupertMurdock, your post is good, but please do not post full specific output. Even if it is something that can be gotten easily.

bler144: Ok, I just started, and right away I found the angry robot face:

<[>>-<<-]>
He's so angry he takes two cells and subtracts them. Crazy little bugger.

Heh, well that definitely means I was on the right track, but after tinkering around doing just the first line of characters manually, I think I'll sit this one out.

Too slow, partly, but mostly too much risk of either data entry or instruction slip along the way. And making an error at any point would seem hard to debug.

Do not do this one manually. Way too time consuming and the output can be obtained in milliseconds using a machine. I also might have obfuscated it a bit here and there.
That said, for those interested in this, a general analysis of the code could be illuminating. Not saying it's necessary to find the solution, but it could be helpful. Only if you are interested in this since as I said it's not strictly necessary.

Do not sit this one out though. Try at home, maybe? Just don't get fired ;)

I am pretty much out of cigars...

ZFR: Just don't get fired ;)
It says here that you left your last job under unusual circumstances.

Yes, ma'am. I was caught BFing at work.

On a normal day I might, but I'm on the road this eve as soon as I leave work. Might have a chance at it if it hasn't been solved/revealed before Sunday.

I must say I often do still appreciate hand calculations, but yeah, this one is not super friendly to a manual approach. :)

A few of you have reached the part where the LotR reference might be useful. I was hesitant in including it here because I didn't want people to concentrate on it, while it is just a vague reference at best. However since I PMed the link to a few already, in order to level the field, I will post it here as well.

Here is an excerpt from a LotR movie that contains the reference:

Do not spend too much time on it if you just started. If you don't catch the reference do not worry about it either way.

Haha. Good one!

Okay, so then I give up. I starve on input, nothing matches literally.

Stuck again!

No idea what the next output is supposed to be...
Aha, gotcha!

Was doing it wrong.

I've won lots of games in giveaways (well, I say won.. I didn't even enter the Community Giveaway and IAmSinistar and Trent kept giving me stuff) so I haven't taken the code.

Nicely done ZFR, no idea how you come up with this stuff.
+1. Unfortunately, I only got here now and I'm going to sleep soon, but I will definitely take a look tomorrow. :)
