I honestly didn't expect it to come here but the same was thought of Sunless Sea. Has anyone played much of Escapists yet? Is it as great as it sounds, because it sure looks it!

Title Edit... again!!: out of Alpha on February 13, heading straight into 1.0 release state, no beta labels necessary. As suggested by one of the more constructive commenters, and rectified for another confused one who like others can't put things together without someone doing it for them :3

Yeah, I'm really confused. Did the people who run the Escapist leave Electronic Arts? Why were they even there in the first place?

And I'm still not even sure who "escapists" are, since Sunless Sea is developed by Failbetter Games, from the game's GOG entry.

The Escapists, not The Escapist :P. As far as I know, The Escapist is running as always and free from Electronic Arts grasp. Also, by EA the OP is referring to Steam's Early Access, not Electronic Arts. Yeah, it's confusing.

Would be nice if, in addition to The Escapists, GOG would release Chris Davis' previous game, Spud's Quest, which is a sweet little Dizzy clone.

EDIT: Ok, Lashiec's message above clarified quite a bit. Be careful with the abbreviations and acronyms. Not all of us are well versed with some Steam-specific abbreviations. TC = Trading Cards? A = Achievements, AAA = triple achievements?

I'm not well versed either; I actually read that abbreviation around here quite a bit and it didn't dawn on me for some time lol. Of course, the first time I use it I end up being the one who gets picked on for it :3
You're implying I've connected the two games developer wise; however, the only connection I've stated is the fact that I didn't expect Escapists to come to GOG, just as I didn't expect Sunless Sea to come here.
