Themken: Seeing how the Christian churches have historically killed millions for blasphemy, I would be careful not to throw those rocks.
I've been researching this.

Near as I can tell, the only organized religions without a mass murder or two in their history are the Wiccans and the Church of Satan. :P

Shadowstalker16: It already features Jesus and Buddha.
Only those two, and probably others will not be included due to outrage? And even adding Buddha is causing grievance now?

Why didn't they keep only Jesus as the only playable character, fighting himself? Then no one would complain (because we Christians are so mellow that we don't care much)? Or how about adding Jesus' evil twin-brother, Luigius?

jcoa: It doesn't require the Steam client to play, so at least this game is DRM-free for those who do have it.
Hmm that's very interesting. Maybe they did see at least a part of this coming. They could release updates on their website to continuously improve the original version so people who bought even in banned countries can play using their pre-ban files. Because I doubt the govts look for the patches on pirate sites.

@timppu
Plenty of games with (just) Jesus now that I think of it. And plenty of non game-media as well. Wonder how non Western countries handle religious portrayal like this in general. I would've watched what India said about Smite, but it was seemingly censored before it became news here.
