Romero is still remaking his maps for the first Doom. Still. Dude's got issues.

It's Bethesda, so... does anyone know of any glaring problems or day one patches that require 40gb downloads, etc.?

At this point it seems pretty solid.. There was that some big ass patch but I think i missed it because I was just installing and loading it so I didn't notice but it seems to be functional game. I had insane stutter in even those logo videos but I updated my drivers and rebooted my pc and it seems to work pretty well even if i have just gtx asus 760

Edit: fun fact.. I've been playing before a fucklot of Skyrim and a bit modded one is better game than I remembered. I will finish it this year!

Falci: So, has anyone here actually gotten the new Doom game? How is it? I was dying to get it, but I decided against it because the price in Brazil is simply ridiculously high and I refuse to pay it. So, waiting until a decent sale it is.

The game is looking pretty good nevertheless and I am more excited than I should about its single player content.

I played the multiplayer beta, had a bit of fun, but hell if I am going to care about multiplayer even the slightest.
Just get a pirated copy, or wait a couple years, if you have the patience.
I've seen the Brazillian price, and it's ridiculous, like you said.

Waiting it is. Nothing against pirating, but I've got plenty of legal stuff to go through at the moment. :)

As tfishell said he disables comments cause of the change to youtube rules two years ago. He's got a commentary reddit set up instead.

Actually no, The Reddit isn't his.
He'd have shut it down if he could due to his unhealthy obsession with reading all of it.

These LP'ers and Youtube/internet personalities need to learn the old adage, 'there's no such thing as bad press.'

Or maybe they do understand it, so their indignant fury at all the drama around them is only that much more kabuki.

With the 4th game having the same name as the first Doom game, namely just DOOM, it's confusing to seeing remarks on the internet with the question 'can this PC configuration run DOOM', as it might either be a joke as every toaster can run Doom (the first Doom) or it's a genuine question about games with hefty requirements (the fourth Doom).
