Just because I guess. You can get it here.

It does look pretty good actually. I can't really run it in native 1080P because that framerate just chugs on my 2060 Super. DLSS boosts performance significantly but there can be some atrocious sprite-ghosting going on from time to time. That's why I decided to play in 480P then instead. As old as the game is that resolution is totally suitable. I much rather have smooth performance and no DLSS oddities (since it's turned off) than slightly cleaner level geometry. The lighting effects still look quite lovely.

You might want to disable bloom though as it looks ghastly. Also, press F for toggable flashlight since some of those corridors/areas can get pitch-black and not as intended as in the original release.

Screenshots were taken while I was still messing around with DLSS and higher resolution.

Interesting.

But i have to wonder... why? I mean doing better lighting on creatures that emit light or shooting or something sure, but i think it's a bit overkill.
It just looks like all those other ugly graphics mods. And the shadows don't even match up well.
Hmm, could make for some very atmospheric looking levels.

Is it Doom 1 only?

I believe so.
Cool, it's like those goons who insist that putting shaders on Minecraft genuinely makes it look better when it obviously clashes with the voxel landscapes.

Thanks for shedding some light on this. It looks hilarious - and great that its with Doom. Yes, RayTracing is overkill, and RTX with sprites is a bit... weird, but I look at this the way I did when they did 3dfx versions of Doom and when they zDoom allowed you to put low polygon monsters in instead of the sprites.
low rated
It would be good if they had better 3D to 2D lighting for sprites.
One thing that bugs me about all these modern pixel games is the lack of GFX or pyhsics special effects.

It might be interesting to see Doom 64 with this, given its generally darker graphic style.

A bit of historical irony in that Doom's was the engine that dropped Wolf3D's ray casting.
