MaximumBunny: I was wondering what everyone was talking about. Apparently Galaxy has an update that needs to be manually installed. Doesn't that...defeat the purpose? :|
No, actually some people have had trouble getting it to update because it has some bugs because it is developmental software still being developed that isn't completely stable yet and one of the workarounds was to try to uninstall it and manually reinstall it. Another option that worked for many people (myself included) was to simply completely exit the program and restart it a few times. It updated itself the 2nd time for me and it seems most others that tried it. If it didn't for anyone then they could just uninstall it and reinstall the new one. Not a big deal really especially for a developmental build.
The purpose is to test the software and report bugs of any kind that are encountered to
http://mantis.gog.com so the developers can track and fix them for the final release. If the software actually works at all and doesn't cause one's computer to explode and catch their house on fire that's just a bonus. :)
