That said, I wouldn't recommend going to either location. DC is nice for Arlington and the Capitol, I guess. Detroit just has hot dogs and you can get those anywhere.

This is true. :) My hometown (GR) used to have nothing, but now has bears and coyotes. And reports of cougars, too. I'll be fearing for my life!

We have a lot of snakes here (TN). They don't bother most folks, but sometimes a child will die from one that's real sad. We had one patient at a hospital I worked at once who had cancer from 1-3 years old. Spent his whole life battling cancer and recuperating. The day he went home, a copperhead jumped up from between the steps on the stairs to his front door and killed him. That's some pretty messed up stuff there.

I think I'll take the bears and cougars and coyotes over the copperheads.

Reverse psychology. In reality that was probably a plea: "Please love me! Add me as a friend!".

During one Steam sales, I tried to add as one of my old friends, which I knew at least used to have a Steam account, as a friend. This was because there was some achievement or something which could yield you some goodies (free games? cheap games?) if you shared or sent something to at least one Steam friend.

Anyway it didn't work out, he apparently hadn't used his account for ages so I couldn't receive any reply from him. No matter, I recall the prizes for meeting the objectives were something stupid worth nothing, some virtual badges or something. Meh.

That's my only experience with all these virtual friend lists, if I recall right. I'm not even in Facebook, for christ sake.
